Back to work for another MLB parlay. First, Happy Memorial Day to all of our Total Apex followers, as we remember those who sacrificed for our country on this holiday—another narrow miss yesterday, as Chicago White Sox pitcher Jordan Leasure imploded in the ninth inning. However, another profitable 2-1 day, bringing our season record to 9-6 ATS overall. All our followers know we seek out games seeing respected money or those where Vegas books have a heavy liability. In other words, the betting outcome that Vegas books need to profit on the day. We have another three selections on tap for you today. The betting lines discussed are the consensus at Vegas Insider and are subject to change.
Parlay Leg #1: New Mets Team Total over 4.5
Leading things off today will be the New York Mets team total over 4.5 runs. The Mets are a massive -310 moneyline favorite and the second biggest chalk play on today’s MLB betting card. Instead of backing such a huge public favorite, we will play on the Mets’ offense to get it done for us. White Sox scheduled starter, Adrian Houser, has pitched just six innings thus far this season and brings a collective 4.89 ERA across 282.1 innings in his prior three.
Despite the Mets being just 18-34 versus the over this season, they are averaging 4.36 runs per game on the season and have scored at least five runs in three of their last four games. Couple that with a Chicago team that has yielded at least five runs in eight of their last 10 games, and we will back the New York Mets team total over 4.5 for play number one.
Parlay Leg #2: Cleveland Guardian ML +140
The middle leg for today will be the Cleveland Guardians over the Los Angeles Dodgers. We got a staple play of ours here with a reverse line movement. The Dodgers are seeing 87% of the tickets and 94% of the money, yet the line continues to move in the Guardians’ direction. The books opened Cleveland up at +185, and they currently sit at +140.
Cleveland is 6-4 both SU and as an underdog in their last 10 at home. Guardians’ scheduled starter Gavin Williams enters today’s contest with a 3.94 ERA, but in his last three starts, he sports a 1.69 ERA. He will need to be just as sharp today, with Los Angeles sending out Yoshinobu Yamamoto to the bump. The Dodgers are just 4-6 SU in their last 10 overall and 5-5 SU in the last 10 as a favorite for a -2.36 units. Cleveland Guardians on the moneyline for play number two.
Parlay Leg #3: Toronto Blue Jays ML +120
We had a bit of trouble locating our final play today, but we will roll with the Toronto Blue Jays over the Texas Rangers. Another reverse line movement here as the public is pounding the Rangers with over 70% of both the tickets and moneyline bets. Despite that, the books have dropped the Toronto line down to +120 since opening up at +155. We are betting against another stellar pitcher in Jacob DeGrom, but the Jays are 31-21 ATS on the year. They are also 8-2 in the last 10 games as an underdog for a +5.27 units. We back the Toronto Blue Jays on the moneyline for the final leg of today’s MLB parlay.
Final Thoughts
The beauty of our parlays is that we can provide you with three individual plays. Remember, we will always play these picks SU because parlays are not a long-term profitable betting strategy. We avoid public plays, which tend to be the betting favorites. Please follow us on social media as the MLB season continues toward the Fall Classic.
