MLB DFS Best Start/Sit for 05/23/2024

MLB DFS

With the week nearly ending MLB DFS action won’t go away easily this Thursday afternoon. Today, we will have lots of fantasy action on Thursday with an eight-game slate of baseball games for fantasy leagues.

One featured game will be the Seattle Mariners facing the New York Yankees at The Bronx. Another good game for fantasy leagues will be the Toronto Blue Jays going to Detroit to face the Tigers. The MLB season is getting hotter this Thursday, and your MLB DFS league could get a win.

With Memorial Day weekend close, the MLB will be in its second gear soon with some great MLB DFS action.

SP Paul Skenes, San Francisco Giants at Pittsburgh Pirates ($9,500 – DraftKings)

Since he got called up, Paul Skenes has been a phenom for the Pittsburgh Pirates this season. In his last game, Skenes pitched 6.0 innings striking out 11 giving up no hits against the Chicago Cubs.

The Pirates’ potential superstar will face a weak Giants line-up and could have another double strikeout game. Pittsburgh ace will help win a Thursday afternoon MLB DFS pool for you and other players.

SS Oneil Cruz, San Francisco Giants at Pittsburgh Pirates ($4,400 – DraftKings)

With the Pirates getting some steam back, their power-hitting shortstop could get them back in the race. In his last game, Oneil Cruz went 3-5 driving in an RBI against the Giants.

The Pirates this season have struggled but their shortstop has been a bright spot. Cruz has been doing well this season with seven home runs and a .260 average. Pittsburgh shortstop will have a strong game and win your fantasy pool today.

OF Brent Rooker, Colorado Rockies at Oakland Athletics ($4,500 – DraftKings)

While the A’s have been inconsistent this season, the Athletics outfielder Brent Rooker has been amazing. Rooker in his last game went 2-4 with a double.

Oakland’s outfielder has been great this season with a strong .288 batting average and 11 home runs. While the A’s are a disaster, they still have a star hitter. Even if the team is not good, Rooker could win an MLB DFS game on a Thursday night.

SP Joey Estes, Colorado Rockies at. Oakland Athletics ($6,500 – DraftKings)

After having a good first start, Joey Estes had a disastrous second start of this season. Estes was rough against the Astros giving up eight earned runs in 3.2 innings pitched. Oakland’s young pitcher will be against the Rockies but his confidence could be low.

The era of Estes is inflated to a 9.35 because of his bad start. Right now, the starting pitching for the A’s should be avoided this season.

1B Spencer Steer, San Diego Padres at. Cincinnati Reds ($5,300 – DraftKings)

The Reds are in a tailspin of a season with potentially being in the heat of the wild card in the Summer. While the Reds will get hot soon, Spencer Steer might not be one of them. Steer in his last game went 1-4 against the Padres. Spencer Steer has dealt with injuries, costing fantasy league games. Having Steer in your MLB DFS could be costly for your pools today.

OF Nick Castellanos, Texas Rangers at Philadelphia Phillies ($4,100 – DraftKings)

The Phillies are one of the better teams this season but Nick Castellanos is not helping. Castellanos in his last game went 0-2 and has struggled immensely this season. Philadelphia is getting their hitting back in stride but their slugger isn’t contributing.

While the hitting for Philly is diverse, they will need Castellanos in the future. Right now, fantasy players should avoid the slugger until he can get his groove back for now.

May 23th MLB DFS Best Stack

The best stack for your MLB DFS this Thursday afternoon could be the dynamic duo of Oneil Cruz and Bryan Reynolds. Right now the Giants’ pitching has been sluggish and Cruz could take advantage of it. With starting Cruz, he could do great things for your starting line-ups against the Giants.

Another Pirates bat that could cause damage for the San Francisco Giants is Bryan Reynolds. While Reynolds has been a consistent hitter, today could be a strong one for him. Reynolds right now has been hot in this series and could do well again. For a winning stack, Reynolds and Cruz can be the winning combo breaker for your MLB DFS.
