With a new week starting there is plenty of MLB today with a full 15-game slate featuring the Los Angeles Dodgers facing off against long-time rival San Fransisco Giants. Another featured game this week is NL East rivals, Philadelphia Phillies against the New York Mets in Citi Field. Tonight’s game could have rosters that could win you big money in the MLB DFS leagues.
Most of the games today will be in the evening so you will have time to prepare your teams. Even with May flowers, some places will be windy and great for hitters with a good launch angle for fantasy points.
Today’s games will be fun and provide fantasy players with the start of the new week of MLB DFS excitement.
May 13th MLB DFS Starts
SP Trevor Williams, Washington Nationals at Chicago White Sox ($7,300 – DraftKings)
In his last start, Trevor Williams, went five scoreless innings, striking out eight while only allowing two hits. Williams is having a stellar year with the Nationals with a 1.96 ERA and a nice 1.06 WHIP. He will be facing one of the worst teams in baseball the Chicago White Sox and could get great numbers tonight. There could be a chance Willams could have a special night for your MLB DFS team
1B Pete Alonso, Philadelphia Phillies at New York Mets($4,800)
While he is inconsistent, Pete Alonso is a start against the Philadelphia Phillies tonight. The Mets are having a chaotic season, but Alonso is getting hot at the right time. Alonso went 2-4 last night with two RBIs.
While it is a small sample, Alonso could get going against the Phillies pitching again. Pete Alonso loves the Phillies pitching having 15 home runs against them in his career. Watch out for Alonso in tonight’s game.
2B Luis Arraez, Colorado Rockies at. San Diego Padres($4,500)
Since getting traded to the Padres, Luis Arraez’s bat is still the same being a consistent hitter for the lineup. Arraez has gotten at least a hit with the Padres and could break out big tonight.
The former batting champion went 1-4 last night and could do well today in the lineup. Against the Rockies pitching which has been horrendous this season, Arraez could have a fun night for fantasy owners.
May 13th MLB DFS Sits
OF Ronald Acuna Jr, Chicago Cubs at Atlanta Braves($6,300)
Acuna has been a hit-a-miss for the Braves this season with underwhelming numbers. Atlanta superstar went 1-4 last night in the loss against the Mets with two pickoffs. The Braves will be in the Windy City so Acuna could catch fire tonight but not likely.
Acuna has only hit one home run in the past seven games, with the Braves needing him more than ever. Atlanta star would need to sit in tonight’s MLB DFS
OF Bryan Reynolds, Pittsburgh Pirates at Milwaukee Brewers ($4,500 – DraftKings)
Bryan Reynolds, after a good start to the season, is falling back to Earth after being 0-5 last night. In his previous five games, Reynolds only got two hits during that stretch and has been sluggish.
These struggles could get better soon, but not now with the Pirates being sluggish. The Pirates outfielder has been struggling lately and would need to be sitting right now for your MLB DFS team.
OF Brandon Nimmo Philadelphia Phillies at.New York Mets ($4,400 – DraftKings)
Brandon Nimmo went 1-1 with a walk-off home run last night to salvage a Mother’s Day weekend series. However, he got hurt on Saturday and wasn’t supposed to play Sunday. It was a weird situation and should have him on the bench tonight.
The injury for Nimmo could come back to haunt him tonight, even if it’s a short-term IL stint. This author would advise to stay away from Nimmo until he is fully healthy.
May 13th MLB DFS Best Stack
For today’s MLB best stack, it’ll be the duo from San Diego of Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr for tonight’s stacks. Machado has been getting hot lately and Tatis is leading the Padres in home runs. Tonight the Padres will be facing the Rockies and their dreadful pitching which could be easy money for fantasy owners.
With the Rockies weak pitching staff, and the bats of Tatis and Machado getting hot, it could be an easy stack win for MLB DFS players today. San Diego hitting could get an easy night if they could hit the ball hard, and they should. Along with starting Luis Arreaz, and having Machado and Tatis as a stack, it could be a fun night for your fantasy team.
