Key Stats

Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are coming off a tough loss on the road against the Chicago Bulls in their last game, 133-124. With a record of 24-24 on the season, they currently sit 7th in the Eastern Conference. Tyler Herro had a good game despite the loss. He finished with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists. Rookie center Kel’el Ware had a great game with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Lastly, Bam Adebayo had a solid game with 23 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. The Heat won their last game against the 76ers, 106-89. Can they replicate their success?

Defensively, this team has been above average. For the season, they are ranked 7th in points allowed per game, 13th in opponent FG %, 16th in opponent 3-point FG %, 30th in blocks per game, 13th in steals per game, and 20th in rebounds per game. In terms of injuries, Duncan Robinson and Haywood Highsmith are both listed as probable for this game. Both played in last night’s game so there should be no reason they don’t play in this game. Jimmy Butler is still out with a suspension as well. When or if he is traded, this team will be better when his future is resolved.

Philadelphia 76ers

\"Philadelphia

The Philadelphia 76ers are coming off a nailbiting win last night against the Dallas Mavericks, 118-116. They sit 11th in the Eastern Conference with a record of 20-29. Tyrese Maxey was excellent in the win with 33 points, 4 rebounds, and 13 assists. Joel Embiid was great in his return, with 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists. Guerschon Yabusele had a nice game with 19 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists. This team is still waiting on the return of their other star player Paul George. If this team was healthy, they would be one of the better teams in the NBA.

Defensively, they have been a below-average team. They currently rank 14th in points allowed per game, 30th in opponents FG %, 24th in opponents 3-point FG %, 28th in blocks per game, 5th in steals per game, and 30th in rebounds per game. In terms of injuries, they have quite a few Paul George and Andre Drummond have been listed as doubtful for this game. Joel Embiid has already been ruled out with injury management. Eric Gordon, Quentin Grimes, and Kyle Lowry have been listed as questionable for this game. That might be too many injuries to overcome in this game.

Prediction

The Miami Heat are going to defeat the Philadelphia 76ers in this game. The 6ers are too injury-riddled to win this game, in my opinion. If they were healthy, it would be a different story. I can see Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo dominating this game with pick and roll/pick and pop all game long. Kel’el Ware has been great over the past month, which won him the Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month award. Tyrese Maxey will continue his stellar play, but it won’t be enough. The Miami Heat go into Philly and defeat the 76ers behind Herro and Bam’s great play!

Final Pick

Miami Heat ML (+100)
