Martin Necas was a part of tons of offseason drama/rumors, the Carolina forward signed a new 2-year deal worth $13 million with the Carolina Hurricanes, and he was almost traded NHL insider Frank Seravalli said that multiple deals fell apart.
There was one team for sure they had a trade agreed to,” Seravalli said. “And Necas would not agree to sign a new deal with that new team.”
“There was another deal on the table,” Seravalli said. “I believe it was Winnipeg. I think Winnipeg offered Rutger McGroarty, Cole Perfetti, and some pick.
For now, Necas is staying with the Hurricanes which isn’t a bad thing for Fantasy as he’s staying with a very good team that lost players this offseason.
