Jordan Love had some growing pains as a young starting quarterback but he stepped up after the mid-way point of the 2023 season for the Green Bay Packers.
Heading into 2023, the 25-year-old was ranked around the top 20 for quarterbacks as a late-round pick in fantasy leagues. Love finished this past year as the fifth-ranked quarterback in fantasy and had a hot streak of not throwing interceptions for multiple consecutive games to end the season.
With another year of starting experience under his belt with a youthful team around him, can he crack the top 5-10 again for fantasy heading into the 2024 season?
Jordan Love 2023 Stats and Production

In 2023, Jordan Love threw for over 4,100 yards, 32 passing touchdowns, and consistently had over 200 passing yards after Week 8. He also had 247 rushing yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground as a semi-dual threat but mostly is an improviser in and out of the pocket.
Love had 11 interceptions, but eight of those came before Week 8, as he threw 22 touchdowns to just three picks for the final 10-week stretch of the 2023 season. The young gunslinger also had five fumbles, so if he can play like he did to end last year, I think the turnovers can get cleaned up.
The Packers signal-caller finally got his shot to start after riding the bench in 2021 and 2022 before former MVP Aaron Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets last offseason. This past season also showed availability, as Love was healthy for basically the whole season and was a stable fantasy asset for most of the year.
Jordan Love 2024 Fantasy Outlook

According to FantasyPros, Jordan Love had eight games over 20 points in 2023, which landed him over Brock Purdy and right behind Lamar Jackson in the top five among quarterbacks in fantasy football.
While he didn’t have any 30-plus point games, I think having a floor of 15-20 or more points is pretty solid for a quarterback who is being drafted around the top 10 at his position heading into 2024.
Overall, Love’s ADP is 66th according to FantasyPros, and makes him a round-six or seven middle-round gem at quarterback for fantasy. His strength of schedule is also great, as it is the 4th easiest against quarterbacks, which could give him an edge over players being drafted close to him like Tua Tagovailoa or Kyler Murray.
While on paper, Love doesn’t have the highest ceiling with the lack of rushing upside, his consistent passing floor makes him an elite quarterback two option.
Final Thoughts On Jordan Love

The Green Bay Packers did upgrade at running back and on the offensive line this offseason around their franchise quarterback Jordan Love.
In free agency, they signed Josh Jacobs to replace Aaron Jones, who signed with the division rival Minnesota Vikings. In the 2024 NFL Draft, the Packers spent a first-round pick on offensive tackle Jordan Morgan and have one of the better offensive line groups.
Green Bay will have another year for their young wide receivers and tight ends to grow with Love, as he has enough weapons to spread the ball around.
At receiver, they include former breakout rookies Jayden Reed and Dontayvion Wicks, along with Romeo Doubs and Christian Watson, if they can stay healthy. Former rookie tight ends Luke Musgrave and Tucker Kraft both shined at times but also dealt with short-term injuries in 2023.
While Jordan Love awaits his extension from the Packers, I ultimately think the new contract gets done before the 2024 season sometime this summer so the breakout quarterback remains in Green Bay.
