Jihaad Campbell 2025 IDP Outlook: Could He have an Elite Impact once Healthy?

Jihaad Campbell

The Eagles drafted Jihaad Campbell with the 31st pick in the 2025 NFL Draft this past April. Campbell was the best inside linebacker in the 2025 NFL Draft. His career at Alabama was phenomenal, and it got him first-round consideration. He would’ve probably been a top-15 pick if he didn’t have an injury, so the Eagles could have another draft day steal in their hands if he lives up to what his talent promises. Here’s his 2025 IDP Outlook for IDP fantasy football formats for the rookie linebacker.

Jihaad Campbell’s 2024 Production

Campbell had 119 total tackles, two pass deflections, five sacks, two forced fumbles, and an interception in 2024. His season at Bama was one of those elite seasons as he earned All-SEC First Team honors this season, as he was fifth in the conference in Total Tackles. The Eagles saw the talent and thought he had great potential to be the future at the inside linebacker spot alongside a deep, talented roster at the position. Speaking of the potential he could have with the Eagles, here’s his projections for the 2025 season.

Jihaad Campbell’s 2025 Projection

With the rookie linebacker finally signing his contract with the Eagles, but still overcoming injuries, his projections are going to be on the conservative side of things for fantasy, and that is to be understood. Especially with the depth that the Eagles have at linebacker with Zack Baun, Nakobe Dean, and Jeremiah Trotter Jr. Anyways, here’s his projections…

Fantasy Pros has him with 113.9 fantasy points with 55.5 tackles, a sack, 0.4 interceptions, 0.3 fumble recoveries, and 0.1 defensive touchdowns. Meanwhile, ESPN’s Mike Clay has him ranked as the 67th ILB with 56 tackles, a sack, and 0.4 interceptions for stat projections. I like the projections for Campbell, because you would think that as soon as Dean gets healthy, he’ll lose the spot if he gets it from Trotter Jr.

Final Thoughts

Campbell’s future is bright, but fantasy-wise wise for 2025, there are probably better rookie defensive options for IDP than he is, unfortunately. But look for Campbell to be a mainstay in the fantasy ranks for years to come if he lives up to the potential that Eagles fans like me have for the talented linebacker. Total Apex Fantasy and Bets will have plenty of articles along the way throughout the offseason for player outlooks of all formats, including IDP.
