The improvement of Jalen Carter was a huge one for the Eagles to have a Super Bowl Run in 2024. Carter was good in 2023, but lapsed during that rough stretch where the team lost 6 of the last 7 games, including that Wild Card loss in Tampa Bay. In 2024, he was an animal, especially during the playoffs. Just look at the last drive performance against the Rams in the divisional round for proof that the Rhino was a difference maker that he was drafted to be for Philadelphia. He had a strong fantasy season as well for a defender. Here’s a look at his production from last season.
Jalen Carter 2024 Production
Carter’s Regular-Season Stats for last season showed a slight dip in sacks, going from six in 2023 to 4.5 in 2024. Carter had 2 forced fumbles and 25 solo tackles, for a total of 42 tackles. Carter had 6 passes defended as well in the regular season. His best fantasy performances, according to Fantasy Pros, were in Week 13 with 16.8 and in Week 7 with 18.3 points. Breadman will flourish even more so in 2025, even though teams will continue to game-plan for him by double-teaming him a lot. So here’s his fantasy projections with that in mind.
Jalen Carter 2025 Projections
Mike Clay has Baby Rhino as his No.11 Interior Defensive Lineman in Fantasy going into the 2025 season with the following projections: 50 total tackles, 12 TFLs, 5.4 sacks, two forced fumbles for a total Fantasy points projection of 117.6 points. Meanwhile, Fantasy Pros has the following projection for the young Eagles stud Defensive Tackle: 49.7 tackles, 5.4 sacks, 1.3 fumble recoveries, for a total fantasy points projection of 128.7 points.
I think that the 5.4 sacks number can be around seven sacks if he has a really strong, productive season, which I think he can. Everything else is about right on the money. Fantasy numbers can be conservative in general when it comes to projections, and Carter’s projections are a good example of that. Carter is going to be a guy that everyone the Eagles face is going to circle at all times in their game plans, to go along with Zack Baun.
Final Thoughts
Jalen Carter is one of those elite defensive tackles in this league who is only just beginning to wreck games at a high level. Breadman is going to be one of those guys that is going to wreck the game for years, I think 2025 is going to put people even more on notice on who this guy is if they didn’t know already. I feel this is going to be the starting point of continued fantasy dominance for Jalen Carter as an Eagle.
