Cleveland Guardians vs. Baltimore Orioles Start/Sit April 15, 2025

The Cleveland Guardians and the Baltimore Orioles are both in the middle of the pack at the moment, and both are looking for a huge turning point win to change their season, especially the Orioles, which gave up a game on Sunday after leading 6-3 to the Toronto Blue Jays in the eighth inning at home, with an uncharacteristic game from their bullpen.

The Guardians are also heading into Baltimore after a 4-2 loss to the Royals this past Sunday as well. This matchup has a lot of talent on both teams that can rack up the DFS scoring at ease. Speaking of DFS, here are my picks for this series opener on MLB TBS on Tuesday of this week.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Baltimore Orioles DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

Cedric Mullins ($4,900 DraftKings, $3,400 FanDuel)

Mullins continues to be the best player for the Orioles this season as he leads them in Home Runs and RBIs with three home runs and 16 RBIs, thus, he is one of the most productive players in fantasy thus far this season overall. He has averaged 14.84 fantasy points on FanDuel and 10.7 fantasy points on DraftKings this season, respectively. Look for Mullins to continue that production against the Guardians on Tuesday.

Steven Kwan ($5,000 DraftKings, $3,000 FanDuel)

Steven Kwan is one of the Guardians’ best players, as he has continued to be one of the most consistent options for the Guardians to the point that he is going to be a consistent option in fantasy because of his high contact percentages. Kwan is hitting .322 average with two home runs, eight RBIs, and an .816 OPS for an FPPG average of 8.5 on DraftKings.

Cleveland Guardians vs. Baltimore Orioles DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.

Lane Thomas ($4,000 DraftKings, $2,700 FanDuel)

Thomas is currently dealing with a wrist injury at this very moment and is considered day-to-day. But even if he wasn’t hurt, Thomas has struggled this season for the Guardians, only hitting .167 on the season with two RBIs for an average of 3.8 FPPG on DraftKings. So two reasons to avoid Thomas at the moment.

Jackson Holliday ($3,700 DraftKings, $2,800 FanDuel)

Holliday is currently on a slide at this particular moment in time, as in the last five games, he has posted a goose egg on the fantasy points as he has been 0-17 in those games. I think Holliday is due for some production again, but this is not the spot to play Holliday because there are other second base options in DFS on Tuesday, in particular.

Jose Ramirez 2025 fantasy outlook

Jose Ramirez ($5,900 DraftKings, $3,900 FanDuel)

Ramirez is due for a huge game as he has had a middle-of-the-road fantasy production these last few games. And the fact that Ramirez has had a lackluster career against Morton, going 3-for-14 in the five games he’s faced Morton, might dissuade people from this pick. But Morton has not been good this season, and I think Ramirez is going to capitalize on that. Speaking of Morton, He’s the Fade of the Game.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Charlie Morton ($6,500 DraftKings, $7,800 FanDuel)

Morton has been horrible this season for the Orioles after signing with them to replace Corbin Burnes as the quote-unquote leader of the rotation. Morton has an 8.78 ERA, 1.88 WHIP, a 0-3 record with 17 strikeouts. I think Morton is going to continue to struggle for the Orioles against the Guardians on Tuesday night on National Television on TBS on Tuesday.

Conclusion

I think the Orioles will end up winning this game in a higher-scoring game that will see a good amount of fantasy production all over. I love Mullins, Kwan, and Ramirez as laid out, but I could also see Jordan Westburg, Gunner Henderson, and Ryan Mountcastle also having huge nights in DFS for the Orioles. I’m looking forward to this game, as this game is probably one of the most intriguing matchups on Tuesday’s MLB slate in general. Total Apex Fantasy is the place to be for MLB DFS advice.
