Dodgers C Will Smith($7,400 on Draftkings)
The Dodgers catcher has not been playing his strongest baseball of the season but Smith will be facing off against southpaw Matthew Boyd. This is a great opportunity for Smith to get back on track as Smith has hit .257 against lefties this season which includes six of his 17 home runs. Smith has had 200 more at bats against righties but his numbers from an extra base standpoint are stronger when facing off against a left handed foe. With the Dodgers having some great right handed hitters like Mookie Betts and Teoscar Hernández, Smith should be up with tons of traffic on the bases which means he could produce some runs in this game.
Guardians 2B Andres Gimenez($6,800 on DraftKings)
The Guardians second baseman followed up his tremendous 2023 season with a solid 2024 season but Gimenez is getting hot at the right time. The Dodgers pitcher Landon Knack is someone that you shouldn’t fear if you are picking Cleveland players for DFS so the safe pick is to ride with the hot hand. Gimenez has hit over .280 over the last week which includes him hitting two of his seven home runs on the season. With how consistent the second baseman usually is, it is a good idea to have him as on your picks.

Guardians DH David Fry ($6,200 on DraftKings)
Fry surprised mostly everyone with having a All Star season it seems out of the blue. But while this season has been one Fry will never forget, he has not been on a roll as of late. Fry is hitting .211 in his previous 15 games and has had a lone five runs batted in during that time. The Guardians are full of players you know production you will get but because Fry has not been a known major contributor for the Guardians, it’s a good idea to stay away from him to start the series.
Dodgers UTL Kike Hernández($4,000 on DraftKings)
With the Dodgers facing off against a left handed pitcher, Kike usually finds himself in the lineup but this has been a major down year for a usually reliable utility player. This season, Hernández has hit .217 with only nine homers and 33 RBI’s. This could be a player to take a chance on since he will see a lefty but with such low production, it would be more mindful to take a chance on someone else in this game.
