With subpar quarterback play the last two seasons, Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson is coming into 2024 with a vengeance. Aaron Rodgers should be back and fully healthy coming off the season-ending torn Achilles this upcoming year and has had no setbacks in OTAs at 40 years old.
Just having the veteran MVP at the helm will likely help out everyone on the Jets offense, including the biggest benefactor in the third-year pro-Wilson.
Along with the offseason additions on the offensive line and more weapons for the Jets, will this be the year of a potential top-10 receiver in the making and will that translate for fantasy football?
Garrett Wilson 2023 Stats and Fantasy Production

In the past two years, Garrett Wilson has lived up to the hype, as he was taken 10th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft and won Offensive Rookie of the Year. The 23-year-old star receiver, despite the dysfunction on offense, went over 1,000 yards and 80 catches in both seasons, being an integral part of the Jets offense.
In 2022, Wilson started 12 games and had 83 receptions for 1,103 yards through the air, along with 4 touchdowns, finishing as the 21st-ranked receiver in PPR as a rookie, according to FantasyPros.
This past season as a full-time starter, although for fantasy it was a bit worse, the emerging star finished as the 26th receiver in PPR and was drafted in the second for most leagues, according to FantasyPros.
However, this is not a bad sign, as Wilson had more catches with 95 but less yards with 1,042 and only 3 touchdowns. These numbers should go way up with Aaron Rodgers back in the fold as the Jets signal caller and with that consistency, the former first-round receiver should only go up from here.

At 6’0″ and 192 pounds, Garrett Wilson will likely stay on the outside, as the Jets drafted Malachi Corley as a slot receiver and signed Mike Williams in free agency to be their other perimeter target.
More weapons could mean fewer targets, but it could give Wilson more 1-on-1 opportunities as the featured weapon, potentially will more touchdown equity if given enough space in single coverage.
The Jets also upgraded their offensive line immensely with Tyron Smith, John Simpson, and Morgan Moses this past offseason. Along with injured starters coming back, this should be a way better, potential top 10-15 offense in 2024 with Rodgers under center, even with some of the off-field distractions that have come his way.
Currently. Garrett Wilson is the 7th ranked receiver in PPR and is being taken in the first round for most leagues, according to FantasyPros.
Final Thoughts on Garrett Wilson

Garrett Wilson is in the same vain as Amon-Ra St. Brown, A.J. Brown, and Puka Nacua for PPR fantasy leagues and while that might seem high status, I could easily see him getting 200-300 more receiving yards on top of his normal 1,000, and at least 5 total touchdowns compared to previous seasons.
Anything extra, like his normal schemed-up looks, will just be a bonus and with the quarterback position hopefully stabilized, Wilson could easily vault himself into top 5 or at least 10 status for wide receivers, with the 7th easiest schedule for receivers.
The pressure is on the Jets to perform this year and the same goes for the offense, perhaps even more so, as this is a do-or-die season for ownership, Rodgers, head coach Robert Saleh, general manager Joe Douglas, and offensive coordinator Nathaniel Hackett.
The hype for Garrett Wilson to produce in this offense, barring any potential injuries, is warranted for 2024.
