Five Valuable CFF Running Backs to Target Late in 2024 Drafts

5 Undervalued CFF Running Backs for 2024

Ollie Gordon and Ashton Jeanty are justifiably the top two running backs and probable overall top two picks in CFF drafts. With 13 RBs currently being drafted in the first two rounds, running back is the deepest position to choose from. However, if you miss out on the top 10-15 guys, there are still good options in the coming rounds. There are even more solid hidden gems in the deeper rounds.

Five Undervalued Running Backs in CFF Drafts

UAB RB Lee Beebe

Lee Beebe (UAB Blazers)

He’s not necessarily a late round CFF gem, but Lee Beebe is still a bit undervalued according to ADP. Currently going in the 11th round as the RB51, Beebe should probably be going in the RB35 range. He will be taking over as the UAB lead running back in 2024, and that spot has been CFF gold the last few seasons. Dwayne McBride and Jermaine Brown Jr. were both studs and Beebe should have the same type of opportunity and volume.

Ayo Adeyi (James Madison Dukes)

Last season at North Texas, Ayo Adeyi ran for 1,017 yards at a 7.1 ypc clip. James Madison will likely rely heavily on the run game in 2024 after QB Jordan McCloud transferred to Texas State. The Dukes also brought in North Carolina transfer George Pettaway, but Adeyi should be the clear-cut RB1 in this offense. Currently being drafted in CFF drafts as the RB79 and overall 234th player off the board, he is an obvious value in the 20th round. He should probably be going three to four rounds earlier.

Kye Robichaux (Boston College Eagles)

Even though he appeared in 11 games for Boston College in 2023, Kye Robichaux exited several early due to injury. In the games he stayed healthy in, he was heavily involved. He played over 40 snaps in six games. In five of those games, he had 20+ touches. Robichaux will have to compete with incoming transfer Treshaun Ward, but he should still get the lion’s share of the work. Probably a late teen round value, he is currently going in the 24th round as RB90. That’s a steal that late in CFF drafts.

Jam Miller (Alabama Crimson Tide)

Justice Haynes is getting more hype as a devy prospect and is being drafted several rounds ahead of Jam Miller. However, Miller spent 2023 ahead of Haynes on the Alabama depth chart and is probably going to be the first RB on the field. The 15 round disparity is criminal and totally unjustified. Currently going as RB97, Jam Miller should be ahead of Haynes at RB47 in CFF drafts.

Demond Claiborne (Wake Forest Demon Deacons)

Head coach Dave Clawson assured Demond Claiborne he was his guy heading into the spring. Claiborne took the vote of confidence and ran (obvious pun) with it this offseason. He shored up his pass protection in order to stay on the field. That should translate into big numbers for the Junior RB. The 99th running back in the 26th round, Claiborne is the definition of a hidden gem.
