Fans get to see a matchup of two elite offenses on Sunday when the Texans play the Dolphins. Miami is coming off of an impressive overtime win against the Jets, while the Texans are rested from their bye week. Hopefully, that means that both offenses are ready to put some points on the board, and DFS players might want to target this game since several of these players can pop off.
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans Start Em’
Jonnu Smith (Draft Kings Price 5.4K, FanDuel Price 6.9K)
It’s been a weird couple of weeks for Jonnu Smith. He didn’t catch a ball until overtime against the Jets, but in the prior two weeks, he had 11 targets in each game. He’s also hit above the 100-yard mark a couple of times within the last month. Look for Smith to be the check-down for Tua if he can’t get the ball to Hill.
Nico Collins (Draft Kings Price 8.1K, FanDuel Price 9.2K)
Collins still leads the league in yards per game (106). Now without Stefon Diggs to take away targets, Collins is undoubtedly C.J. Stroud’s number one option. The Dolphin’s defense just gave up plenty of yards to Jets wide receivers (109 yards for Davante Adams, 114 yards to Garrett Wilson), so look for the Texans to exploit this trend by throwing long to Collins.
Tyreek Hill (Draft Kings Price 7.4K, FanDuel Price 8.7K)
It shouldn’t be too hard to find reasons to play Tyreek Hill. He is a start in every game he plays in. The reason why players might want to pay up for Hill this week is that Tua might need to throw often to keep up with the Texan’s offense. If this game becomes a shootout, Hill gets put in a position to have one of his crazy games.
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans Sit Em
De’Von Achane (Draft Kings Price 7.9K, FanDuel Price 8.6K)
Given the fact that the Dolphins will probably have to throw the ball to keep up in this game, It may not be a good week to play Achane. The game against the Jets was an example of how the Dolphins look like when they need to throw, and Achane only got 24 yards off of 14 carries in that game.
Tua Tagovailoa (Draft Kings Price 6.1K, FanDuel Price 8.3K)
There is no guarantee that Tagovailoa is going to have a bad game (after all, he has thrown over 300 yards in his past three starts). Paying the money for the Dolphins quarterback simply poses a big risk against a tough Texans defense that can rush after the quarterback. It might be better to spend money on a quarterback who won’t be chased by Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr.
Tank Dell (Draft Kings Price 5.4K, FanDuel Price 6.1K)
Dell is simply one of the more unpredictable players of this season. He only gets a certain amount of targets per game, which means he really needs to hit the endzone to have any relevancy in fantasy terms. The Texans offense has shown they are fine scoring touchdowns with Mixon, Collins, and even Dalton Shultz who scored against the Jaguars, so Dell simply isn’t worth the investment.
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans Lock
Joe Mixon (Draft Kings Price 7.8K, FanDuel Price 9K)
Despite a couple of setbacks against Detroit and Tennessee, Mixon has been a lock for 100 yards each game this season. The more the Texans can run the ball in this matchup, the less exposure they give to C.J. Stroud who will have Calais Cambell to worry about. Mixon is also proving to be the best red zone option for the Texans, so look for him to approach that 100-yard mark and at least score one touchdown.
Miami Dolphins at Houston Texans Fade
Raheem Mostert (Draft Kings Price 4.9K, FanDuel Price 5K)
The bottom line is, if there is little reason to start Devon Achane in this game, there is even less reason to start Raheem Mostert over him. Mostert doesn’t get the same amount of carries that he used to (only 10 carries over the past three weeks), so he won’t even have the opportunity to match Achane’s numbers unless he gets one large play.
