Kickers can make or break matchups every week—the underappreciated part of your fantasy team. Kickers can be the pebble in your shoe or the one that wears the cape when in need. Nothing is worse than being down 5 points and you have a kicker posting 3 points. At the same time, don’t reach and freak out by taking a kicker in round 5 of your draft. Have no worries, We’re gonna dive into 3 Kickers to have on your team.
Cameron Dicker
Dicker, the Kicker! He had a great 2023 Season making 31 out of 33 field goals. According to Fantasy Pros, he finished last season as the 8th-ranked kicker. Heading into the 2024 season, Dicker has an average draft position(ADP) of 203. He’s currently the 10th ranked Kicker. This is essentially value for a top 3 kicker at a later pick leaving room to draft more skill positions.
Cameron Dicker is in a great position to finish as a top 5 kicker. The offense doesn’t have a whole of weapons. With that being said, I do believe this offense will have to rely on Dicker for a lot of points. Offensive coordinator Greg Roman loves to run the football. We could see this offense get into field goal range often yet stall out. Lots of opportunities for Cameron Dicker this season.
Cairo Santos
Ok, I have no clue how Cairo Santos is the 15th ranked kicker. According to Fantasy Pros, he finished last season as the 3rd-ranked kicker. Heading into the 2024 season, Santos has an average draft position(ADP) of 290. He was successful on 35 out of 38 field goal attempts last season. This is a steal for a kicker that could finish top 5 if not around 7th or 8th.
Cairo Santos falls into a better situation this season. The offense has made MASSIVE upgrades. Caleb Williams will have this team in the red zone more often than last year. The only downside would be if Chicago capitalizes on their red zone trips with touchdowns. At the same time, Caleb Williams is a rookie. Playing in the NFC North, the Bears will be playing in a lot of close games this season. This is gonna leave room for Santos to get his opportunities.
Dustin Hopkins
Ok, I had to put this guy third on the list just in case you stopped reading. Dustin Hopkins is the most bang for your buck Kicker in this year’s draft. Hopkins is currently ranked at 21st with an ADP of 329. This is surprising to see yet amazing value for team owners. Hopkins finished last season as the 10th ranked Kicker. He was able to capitalize on 33 out of 36 field goals last season. Great value for a guy who could end up finishing in the top 10 again this season.
Dustin Hopkins is setup to have success this season. The offense added Jerry Jeudy & Jameis Winston. With Deshaun Watson’s injury history, Winston is a solid backup. I feel no matter who is playing quarterback, the offense is going to move the ball into field goal range for Hopkins. If for any reason this becomes a high-scoring offense, Hopkins wouldn’t be hindered by opportunities. The AFC North like the NFC North is a tough one. There will be lots of close games that will have Hopkins kicking field goals.
