Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys Starts Sits November 10, 2024

The 6-2 Philadelphia Eagles travel to Arlington, Texas to play an injured 3-5 Dallas Cowboys team without Dak Prescott, who was put on IR earlier this week with a hamstring injury. The Eagles have been rolling these last four weeks since the bye week and will have a lot of momentum heading into Dallas as they look for their first win in Dallas in a long time. Here’s a look at the starts and sits for this matchup.

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Philadelphia Eagles

Barkley is coming off a highlight day where he hurdled a man while he was backward, which was the craziest play I’ve ever seen in my life. Barkley had two total touchdowns and 199 all-purpose yards. The Cowboys are currently one of the worst run defenses in the league at the moment and Barkley is currently second in rushing behind Derrick Henry. This is a great spot to start Barkley.

AJ Brown, Wide Receiver, Philadelphia Eagles

AJ Brown left last week’s game with a knee injury but was a full participant in practice on Thursday. Brown has feasted against the Cowboys in his career and you should expect that to continue this weekend especially if the Eagles can get the dynamic big play going off the run game. Brown will find the endzone this weekend for Philadelphia in Jerry World.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.

Rico Dowdle, Running Back, Dallas Cowboys

Dowdle had a productive game last week against Atlanta, finding the endzone on a receiving touchdown an improvised play by Prescott. The Eagles run defense is one of the toughest units to go up against and Dallas’s run game is one of the worst in football in all aspects. So avoid Dowdle at all costs this week along with the other Cowboys running backs.

Jalen Tolbert, Wide Receiver, Dallas Cowboys

Jalen Tolbert has had a disappointing season up to this point and there’s a possibility that Tolbert is going to be the receiver one this weekend thanks to the Ceedee Lamb injury, and he has a good report with Cooper Rush. But the sample size for Tolbert is too big to justify starting him in DFS lineups this weekend. The situation and dynamics of the potential budget play are going to sway some people but don’t fall for the trap of the budget play at receiver for this game.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Jalen Hurts, Quarterback, Philadelphia Eagles

Jalen Hurts and the Eagles travel to Dallas after escaping a scrappy Jacksonville team even though the offense was flowing. Hurts has another favorable matchup against the division rival Dallas Cowboys this weekend. The Eagles look to keep up with the Commanders before the Week 11 tilt on Thursday night football next week.

Hurts has gotten back-to-back high-scoring efforts at over 35 fantasy points against the Bengals and 29.9 fantasy points last week. Hurts since the bye has had 12 total touchdowns and ZERO turnovers in that span, expect that to continue against the Cowboys this week.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Cooper Rush, Quarterback, Dallas Cowboys

The Eagles’ defense is now in the top ten in total defense, especially after the performances these last few weeks. Ceedee Lamb has a sore AC joint and probably will play with said AC joint issue, plus the Cowboys don’t have a run game to speak of. Yeah, those factors alone will make Cooper Rush the Fade of this game against the Eagles.

Conclusion

The Eagles should handle the Cowboys this week on paper. Philadelphia is the healthier and deeper team this year and without Dak Prescott, Dallas is going to be a mediocre team that can’t make enough plays to cover the 7-point spread. Hurts, Barkley, and Brown are strong plays this weekend.
