The 12-2 Philadelphia Eagles look to clinch the NFC East crown on the road against the Washington Commanders on Sunday afternoon. The Commanders are coming off a squeaker against the Saints last week where they could’ve lost on the last play of the game thanks to a clock issue. Meanwhile, the Eagles had drama and took care of business at home against the Pittsburgh Steelers and solved their passing issues in said game. Yeah, life is good, lol. Here are the DFS picks for the game this weekend.
Eagles vs. Commanders DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
Jalen Hurts ($7,800 Draft Kings, $8,600 FanDuel)
Jalen Hurts loves playing the Washington Commanders in his career as he has 12 touchdowns, and only 3 interceptions against the Commanders with a 103.0 passer rating in his previous 8 starts. Hurts will continue to use his momentum from last weekend’s performance against the Pittsburgh Steelers. I love Jalen Hurts in this spot.
AJ Brown ($7,800 Draft Kings, $8,700 FanDuel )
AJ Brown has a slight knee injury, but that’s not going to keep him down this week. He is coming off a 100+ receiving day against the Steelers last week. I look for Brown to continue his momentum, as the Eagles will look to get him involved early and often again this week in Landover.
Eagles vs. Commanders DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.
Jayden Daniels ($7,300 Draft Kings, $8,200 FanDuel)
I’m sitting Jayden Daniels this week even though he’s playing better football lately because the Philadelphia Eagles are the No.1 defense in the NFL right now. I think Daniels is going to have a better day than he did in Philly, but the risk/reward is not worth the budget in DFS to me this week, unfortunately.
Brian Robinson Jr. ($6,200 Draft Kings, $6,800 FanDuel )
Brian Robinson Jr. had a touchdown in Philly and was the best part of that offense in the early part of that game. But Robinson earlier this week did give some bulletin board material when he felt confident about his team’s being the better team. Granted he should feel that way as an athlete but you don’t say the silent part loud if you can’t back it up. Expect Philly to shut him down this week.
Total Apex Lock of the Game
Saquon Barkley ($8,300 Draft Kings, $9,100 FanDuel)
Saquon’s late surge in that Thursday night matchup in Philly saved his fantasy day the last time and this game is going to be a little bit better in the early part of this game for Barkley I think as he chases Eric Dickerson’s rushing record. It should be interesting to see how Barkley performs this week in the passing game as well. I think Barkley will explode against the Commanders.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Terry McLaurin ($7,300 Draft Kings, $8,000 FanDuel )
Listen, some people at Total Apex like McLaurin this weekend against the best defense in the league after literally being shut down the last time in Philly. I think McLaurin may have a bounce-back game but I don’t like it. McLaurin is going to have to get around Quiyon Mitchell and Darius Slay on the outside deep if he wants to have an impactful day and that’s not going to happen if Vic Fangio has something to say about it.
Conclusion
The Eagles and Commanders both want this game. The Eagles can win the division and stay in the 1 seed race, and the Commanders would get a step closer to clinching a playoff spot with the win. The Eagles will keep rolling in this game as they look to improve each day at a time as they move towards their ultimate goal. Total Apex Fantasy already has several of the Week 16 slates on there and will continue to provide it over the next two days.
