Dylan Larkin had a very good 2023-2024 season with the Detroit Redwings, but he did miss some time with an injury. He ended up playing 68 games of the 82 and the Detroit Red Wings were 37-22-9 with Larkin in 2023-24. If he played all 82 games or even a few more, they would have made the playoffs in 2024.
Larkin had a career-high 33 goals last season, and 69 points in 68 games. He was a massive key to the Wings last year.
Dylan Larkin’s Career So Far
Dylan Larkin was drafted 15th overall by the Red Wings in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft out of Michigan University.
In May 2015, Larkin signed a three-year, entry-level contract with the Detroit Red Wings. He gave up his final three seasons of eligibility at the University of Michigan. On October 5th, 2015, Larkin made the Red Wings’ final roster for the 2015–16 season. He became the first 19-year-old to debut on opening night since Mike Sillinger in 1990–91.
Larkin scored in his first NHL Game vs the Toronto Maple Leafs. He became the first Red Wings teenager to score in his first NHL game since Steve Yzerman (now Redwings GM) in 1983.
Dylan Larkin was named to the 2016 NHL All-Star Game, the first teenager to be selected since Steve Yzerman.
In 2021, the Red Wings named Larkin the team captain. In 2023. Dylan Larkin signed an 8-year, $69,600,000 contract with the Detroit Red Wings. Final Thoughts.
Larkin is ranked 37th in ESPN’s Fantasy Rankings and the 11th Center.
