Dallas Wilson from Tampa Florida, at Tampa Bay Tech, is the shining wide receiver standout looking to make a big splash for his career and future teams that take a chance on drafting him. Off to a great start this year for Tampa Bay Tech, Dallas Wilson will look to keep the good times rolling as he is the Oregan Ducks’ recent commit. We will dive into Dallas Wilson as a player as well as his value as a Devy player and beyond into the dynasty fantasy world.
Dallas Wilson As A Player
The tale of the tape has Dallas Wilson at 6-3 195lbs. The wide receiver, and track star to boot, is looking to make a big name for himself as an Oregon Duck. There will be stiff competition from fellow commitments of Dakorien Moore. Healthy competition will bring out the best of them in the best way possible. Even ranked WR 6 and 40th overall from 247 Sports, Dallas Wilson will be the underdog coming into his collegiate career.
In this humble writer’s opinion, this will give him a leg up, those needing to prove these;ves seem to dig a little deeper and go a little bit harder than those they are trying to catch. With 20+ touchdowns and over 2,000 yards, according to MaxPreps, this young man has the skills and route-running capability to make the most of his opportunity. While he has the size advantage over Dakorien Moore, Dallas Wilson must improve his pass-catching ability if he wants to take the top-dog spot for the Ducks.
Dallas Wilson Devy Outlook
As far as value goes for Dallas Wilson, there is a ton of it. With the development from the great offensive school the Ducks provide, it is a firm belief that this young man will greatly improve his skill. His size is a great advantage as that can’t be taught, but it can be refined and made for improvement. As he gains speed, maturity, and better pass-catching skills, there is a great chance this talented wide receiver will go high in the draft.
A comparison that comes to mind is the Colt’s Michael Pittman Jr. Similar size and skill set, Dallas Wilson will provide the upside of a great WR 1 for a team or at worst a reliable floor of WR 2. For draft purposes, it can be seen as high as WR- 5 but if not as much development occurs, or if he gets overshadowed by other talent at his school, there is a real likelihood to fall as far as WR- 30. Keep a keen eye on his development and how he is used by the ducks.
If he starts trending as the go-to guy then there is a high buy for him. If he gets relegated to the shadows he can be had for a cheap price that will develop into a great talent at the NFL level. Either way, it’s a buy for me, either high or low and hold.
