The 7-8 Dallas Cowboys travel to Philadelphia to face the 12-3 Philadelphia Eagles for another edition to the Eagles and Cowboys rivalry. This edition will feature two backup quarterbacks with Cooper Rush and Kenny Pickett each getting the start for their respective teams and the weather will be a factor. Look for a huge involvement of the run game in this game for both teams, especially with the rain in Philly on Sunday. Here are my picks for the DFS slate for this game.
Cowboys vs. Eagles DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
AJ Brown ($7,800 DraftKings, $8,800 FanDuel)
AJ Brown reached the 1,000-yard receiving mark last week against the Commanders and Kenny Pickett liked going to him often when he stepped into the game last week. I expect Brown to get his volume even though the weather won’t be friendly for the passing game, especially with the small hands of Pickett. Brown is worthy of a DFS start this week still, as I expect him to have close to 100 yards and a touchdown in this game.
Cowboys vs. Eagles DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.
Cooper Rush ($5,400 DraftKings, $7,000 FanDuel)
Cooper Rush struggled against the Eagles in the first meeting in Dallas earlier in the season, I would expect the same thing to happen especially without the services of CeeDee Lamb for the rest of the season. Rush has been playing better since that game but Philadelphia did force five turnovers in that loss last week in the DMV. Look for the Eagles to bounce back and contain Rush in the rain on Sunday.
Kenny Pickett ($5,500 DraftKings, $6,600 FanDuel )
Pickett will be getting his first start as an Eagle on Sunday afternoon as star Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts will be out with the concussion he suffered in the first quarter against the Commanders. I think Pickett will play well but is not worthy of a start in DFS as the Eagles will rely on Saquon Barkley a lot in the rain against the Cowboys. So sit Pickett as his ceiling is only about 17 fantasy points.

Saquon Barkley ($8,600 DraftKings, $9,600 FanDuel )
Saquon Barkley is 268 yards away from breaking Eric Dickerson’s all-time rushing yards record that’s been around for over 40 years now. I think this week the game plan should be to feed 26 at all times if possible and get him close enough to the record in Week 18. So Barkley is the closest thing to a lock, as a lock can be this week for all DFS opportunities, so have him in your lineups against Dallas at all costs this week.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Rico Dowdle ($6,000 DraftKings, $7,100 FanDuel)
The Eagles stifled the Washington run game from the running backs last week including only 2.8 fantasy points from Brian Robinson Jr. So I think Dowdle is going to be stonewalled this Sunday against a strong Eagles run defense in the rain. Dowdle is not going to be that hero for DFS this week as he has been a couple of times this season for people so avoid him at all costs.
Conclusion
I think Philadelphia’s defense will bounce back against Dallas from giving up 22 points in the fourth quarter last week and control this game for the Pickett-led Eagles offense to have a good win and finally clinch the NFC East and the 2-seed in the NFC playoffs.
