The Panthers and Cowboys should be firing at each other when they play in Week 15 since they need to leapfrog over each other or they lose their slim but mathematically possible playoff hopes. Both teams are also coming away from tough losses. The good news is that Dallas and Carolina are better on the offensive side of things, so there will be some players who have good days in terms of fantasy.
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers Start Em’
Adam Thielen (Draft Kings Price 5.4K, FanDuel Price 6.1K)
Since his return from injury, Adam Thielen has been on fire. He went for 99 yards against the Buccaneers and 102 yards against the Eagles the following week. Given the way they played against the Bengals, it’s clear that the Cowboys’ defense likes to give up big numbers to opposing wide receivers, so Thielen is poised to hit the 100-yard mark again this game.
Xavier Legette (Draft Kings Price 7.4K, FanDuel Price 5.5K)
Legette’s numbers have paled in comparison to Theilen’s, but that doesn’t mean he won’t have a good game against the Cowboys. It’s likely Carolina will exploit the Cowboy’s weak pass defense. Legette has also been a clutch target for Bryce Young, even though he doesn’t have big games stat-wise. Legette could have around 75 yards and perhaps a touchdown in this game.
CeeDee Lamb (Draft Kings Price 7.3K, FanDuel Price 8.4K)
Despite all of the woes associated with the Cowboys season, CeeDee Lamb is still the silver lining around the cloud over Dallas. Against the Bengals, Lamb still had 93 yards and a touchdown. He’s proven to be Cooper Rush’s most reliable option, and it isn’t like Carolina has a secondary capable of stopping Lamb.
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers Sit Em
Cooper Rush (Draft Kings Price 5.2K, FanDuel Price 6.8K)
It’s not like Rush is set up to have a bad game, it’s just difficult to recommend him over other quarterbacks in the league. He hasn’t matched his 354-yard monster game against the Texans in three weeks. Any player in need of a quarterback can look elsewhere and get more upside, even in Rush’s opponent, Bryce Young.
Rico Dowdle (Draft Kings Price 6.1K, FanDuel Price 7.1K)
This is not looking like a game the Cowboys can win, and only if they are winning can Dowdle be expected to get enough carries worth a start. Dowdle also suffers from not being a big option in the red zone, which means touchdowns ultimately are taken away from him.
Jake Ferguson (Draft Kings Price 3.8K, FanDuel Price 5.4K)
Talent-wise, Ferguson might be one of the better tight ends in the league. The numbers haven’t reflected that, though. He went for 24 yards, 11 yards, and 33 yards respectively in the last three weeks. Ferguson also has failed to score a touchdown this season. There are plenty of tight ends around the league who can at least be a threat in the red zone (look at Mike Geseki, Hunter Henry, etc.).
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers Lock
Chuba Hubbard (Draft Kings Price 6.5K, FanDuel Price 8.4K)
Quitely, Hubbard is performing at a level not seen in Carolina for a long time. Not only is he good for high yardage, but he flat-out gets in the endzone as well; Hubbard has scored a touchdown in every game since November with the sole exception being the low-scoring loss to Tampa Bay. It’s highly doubtful that the Cowboys’ defense will be able to contain the Carolina running back.
Dallas Cowboys at Carolina Panthers Fade
Brandin Cooks (Draft Kings Price 4.7K, FanDuel Price 5.7K)
Cooks can catch a touchdown or two, but he won’t get enough yardage to be relevant fantasy-wise. This all comes down to usage: the Cowboys like to use Cooks in short-distance situations since he has great hands. Cooks is a little older than the average receiver, though, and Lamb is clearly going to demand most of the targets thrown by Cooper Rush.
