Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Giants DFS Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em| October 13, 2024

The Cincinnati Bengals travel to Metlife Stadium to take on the New York Giants on Sunday night at 8:20 EST for a nighttime matchup. The Bengals enter the game 1-4 and many are ready to write them off, but every game has been within six points. The Giants come into the game 2-3 and seem to be finding their rhythm. Daniel Jones is proving the haters wrong as he led the Giants to back-to-back road wins in tough territory, both teams have something to prove, who will be the victor?

Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Giants DFS Start ‘Ems

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has the ability to turn any reception into a long touchdown.

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

New York Giants QB Daniel Jones ($5.3K on DraftKings and $6.8K Fanduel)

As ludicrous as this may have sounded after week 1, I am sold on Daniel Jones. Jones has thrown for over 230 yards in the last three games and has a six-to-one touchdown-interception ratio since week two. Jones has put up over 22 fantasy points in three out of the last four games and is averaging 21.2 fantasy points in his last four outings. The Bengals’ defense has not been great, start Danny Dimes.

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja’Marr Chase ($8.4K on DraftKings and $9.5K Fanduel)

Ja’Marr Chase is the WR1, Joe Burrow’s go-to target, and has been hot as Hades lately. Chase is coming off a monster performance last week hauling in 10 catches for 193 receiving yards, two touchdowns, and 41.3 fantasy points. Chase has more games of over 20 fantasy points than he does games of 10 or fewer fantasy points. There is not much more to say about Ja’Marr, start him.

Cincinnati Bengals vs New York Giants DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.

New York Giants RB Devin Singletary ($6.3K on DraftKings and $6.1K Fanduel)

Devin Singletary started the year on fire scoring 41 fantasy points in his first three games, but it has not been the same since. Singletary struggled against Dallas then got injured and did not play last week against the Seahawks. In the meantime, backup Tyrone Tracy Jr. took full advantage of the reps and had himself a day (129 rushing yards). Singletary is still listed as questionable, sit him this week.

Cincinnati Bengals TE Mike Gesicki ($3.1K on DraftKings and $5.1K Fanduel)

Mike Gesicki has not been Joe Burrow’s favorite target so far this season. Gesicki only has 17 catches through five games this season and is averaging seven fantasy points per game. Gesicki only has 35 fantasy points this season and 16 came from week two. In the past two weeks, Gesicki only has 5.2 fantasy points, sit Gesicki.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow ($6.9K DraftKings and $8.1K Fanduel)

Joe Burrow should be getting MVP votes, but with his team being 1-4, he is becoming overlooked. Burrow is the QB4 and is averaging 25.3 fantasy points per game. Burrow through for 392 yards, five touchdowns, and totaled 42.7 fantasy points in an OT loss to the Ravens. Burrow has a 12-2 touchdown-interception ratio and is averaging 275 passing yards a game. The Giants defense is not going to slow down Joe Burrow.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Cincinnati Bengals Defense ($3.4K DraftKings and $4.6K Fanduel)

The reason the Bengals are 1-4 is their defense. The Bengals’ defense ranks 31 in points allowed, 19th in passing yards per game, and 30th in rushing yards allowed. The Bengals’ defense is the D/ST30 and has only 11 fantasy points on the season. Daniel Jones has been slinging the ball lately and will tear up this weak Cincinnati Bengals defense.

Conclusion

Both quarterbacks Daniel Jones and Joe Burrow have been hot lately. The Cincinnati Bengals have a more potent offense with weapons Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins, Zack Moss, and Chase Brown. The Bengals win in an aerial thriller, but that will not stop Daniel Jones from having a productive day. Look for Chase to continue his dominant run against the weaker secondary of the Giants. This Giants team has shown potential, but the Bengals come out as the victors this week.
