Chiefs vs. Bills DFS Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em| Week 11

kansas city chiefs

There are two marquee games in the AFC this week, and this is one of them. The undefeated and defending Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs bring their 9-0 record to Buffalo to take on the 8-2 Bills. The game has huge ramifications for possible home-field advantage in the AFC playoffs and features two of the NFL’s top players. Patrick Mahomes facing Josh Allen is a huge game no matter the time of year. This game features plenty of DFS options and it just depends on what positions you want to spend up at.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in this game. These players are in a good spot to have a solid performance and a favorable DFS matchup.

Kareem Hunt ($6.7k DraftKings and $8k Fanduel)

Kareem Hunt’s usage rate has been unbelievable of late and we want to take advantage of his situation with the return of Isiah Pacheco on the horizon. Hunt has averaged 25.2 touches per game, with five touchdowns. Hunt is a top-28 running back in PPR despite only playing in six games. This week he faces a Buffalo defense ranked 31st in fantasy points allowed to running backs. Ride the DFS wave with Kareem Hunt in week 11.

Dalton Kincaid/ Dawson Knox ($5k DraftKings and $5.8k Fanduel)

We listed both Bill’s tight ends here because Dalton Kincaid is questionable with a knee injury, so pivot to Knox if Kincaid is inactive. Defending the tight end is a weak spot in the Chiefs defense. Against tight ends, they are last in yards receiving yards allowed, bottom five in yards per reception, and 31st in fantasy points allowed to the position. You are starting one of these players in DFS week 11. We think it will be Knox, due to Kincaid listed as a DNP on Wednesday.

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side, here are a few of the players we recommend sitting in this one.

JuJu Smith Schuster ($4.5k DraftKings and $5.2k Fanduel)

Smith-Schuster has missed multiple games with a hamstring injury and is too risky to use even if he is active. His first game without Rashee Rice was stellar with 19.5 fantasy points stemming from a 7-130 stat line. Then he got injured and the Chiefs acquired DeAndre Hopkins. We have to see where he slots into the Kansas City passing game, before recommending him.

Amari Cooper ($5.7k DraftKings and $6.3k Fanduel)

In a game like this with two of the top signal callers, it is tough to recommend a sit, but Amari Cooper has missed the past two games with a wrist injury. Cooper has barely played for the Bills and we are not certain of his role within the offense and pair that with the Chiefs ranked ninth in points allowed to the position. We much prefer Khalil Shakir among the Buffalo wideouts, making Amari Cooper one of our DFS sits.

Josh Allen ($7.8k DraftKings and $8.8k Fanduel)

We continue to beat this drum for our DFS lock of the week as Josh Allen keeps churning out 20-plus point games for us. In his last five games, Allen is averaging 22.58 FanDuel fantasy Points per game. Allen is the overall QB5 and yes he does get a difficult week 11 matchup versus a Chiefs defense ranked 4th overall in total defense but is just 19th in points allowed to the position.

Allen also comes with the rushing upside, and last week had second highest carries and rushing yards on the season. There is a reason Josh Allen is the second highest-priced quarterback on the main slate, and with Lamar Jackson a choice as well, that may suppress Allen’s DFS ownership.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Xavier Worthy ($5.6k DraftKings and $6k Fanduel)

We are using Worthy as our fade here because of the recent usage and the risk of getting almost zero production. In his last games, Worthy has 6 targets, a single catch, and 11 receiving yards. That output resulted in 1.5 fantasy points and just a 7% target share. With that being said, he can pull a Marquez Valdez-Scantling put up a 3-110-1 line, and smash his DFS salary. That is why Worthy is here because of the volatility he brings but he is a very viable DFS punt play.

Conclusion

A couple of items here in closing, Patrick Mahomes, Travis Kelce, Khalil Shakir, and James Cook were not mentioned or detailed but are starting DFS assets. Kansas City-Buffalo features a modest implied game total of 45,  which ranks third highest this week. On the flip side, this game has two defenses ranked in the top 10 in scoring, so we may see a dip in expected fantasy production.
