The Chicago White Sox complete the Crosstown Classic at Wrigley Field on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs. The Cubs have taken the first two games thanks to their high-powered offense. While the White Sox have gotten some runs in the series, the Cubs have scored a total of 20 runs in the two games. It won’t get any easier for the White Sox as they face Colin Rea in Sunday’s finale. Can the Cubs complete the sweep, or will the White Sox take one game in the series?

Key Stats
Chicago White Sox
The Chicago White Sox once again came out hot with Chase Meidroth hitting a leadoff home run. He went 3 for 4 in the game yesterday. The key stat for the White Sox yesterday is that they were 0 for 1 with RISP. The offense isn’t generating scoring opportunities, getting most of their runs on solo home runs and sacrifice opportunities. Luis Robert Jr. continued his slump, going 0 for 4 in the game. In the last 12 games, he has only six hits, batting an abysmal .143 with 14 strikeouts.
Right-hander Jonathan Cannon takes the mound in the series finale. In his last start against the Cincinnati Reds, he threw 6.0 innings, only surrendering four hits and striking out six. Cannon had a rough April but has settled into a better rhythm in May. In three games pitched with two starts in the month, he has thrown 18.0 innings and only given up four earned runs. The right-hander has given up six home runs this year, all of them on the road.
Chicago Cubs
Pete Crow-Armstrong continued his hot streak for the Chicago Cubs. He is 6 for 10 in the series, with eight RBIs and a home run. Over the past 13 games, he is hitting .320 with four homers and 15 RBIs. Shortstop Dansby Swanson also had a big game for the Cubs yesterday, going 2 for 3 with three runs scored, two walks, and an RBI. On the base paths, the team swiped five bases on Saturday. They are currently second in the majors, only trailing their division rival, the Milwaukee Brewers.
The Cubs are sending out right-hander Colin Rea in the series finale. While his stats look decent, he has had a rough start to the month of May. In three starts, he has pitched 17.2 innings, giving up 18 hits, nine runs, and eight earned runs. He has also walked six batters in that span. Rea will look to get back on track against one of the weaker offenses in the league.

Prediction
The Chicago Cubs have dominated the series so far. The White Sox haven’t made it close, giving up a ton of runs. Many of the Cubs’ hitters are seeing the ball well, and Cannon has struggled on the road. Like the previous two games in the series, I don’t see this one being close.
