CeeDee Lamb 2025 Redraft Outlook

dallas cowboys ceedee lamb

Even though the Dallas Cowboys had a very controversial season last year, one thing that nobody can deny is that CeeDee Lamb is a flat-out baller. While he played decently in all five of his seasons as a Dallas Cowboy, in particular, his last three seasons saw him average more than 15 fantasy points per game. The former Oklahoma Sooner is arguably the best player on a team that is at a crossroads, so does that make him overrated, or is he one of the top three wide receivers in the league?

CeeDee Lamb 2024 Stats and Fantasy Production

CeeDee Lamb’s stats from the previous season are pretty shocking considering he had two different quarterbacks throwing him the ball. NFL fans might expect Lamb to put up numbers like seven games with 90+ yards or five games with over 20 fantasy points (one of which he had 39.6 points in).

What’s surprising is that two of those 20+ games came with Cooper Rush under center. Even though the Cowboys record took a dip after Dak Prescott got injured, Lamb’s receiving numbers never took a dive. He’s proven himself to be somewhat quarterback-proof, which is rare in today’s NFL.

Lamb’s ADP at the moment is sixth overall as the third wide receiver taken in many mock drafts. There are a couple of other receivers that could give Lamb some competition for that spot (Puka Nacua, Amon Ra St. Brown, Malik Nabers to name a few), but Lamb is going into a very good situation in Dallas. They drafted Tyler Booker, a lineman out of Alabama to help protect Prescott. Brian Schottenheimer might be able to spark new life into this offense, and new acquisition George Pickens will draw some of the defense away from Lamb.

After taking all those facts into consideration, Lamb should be taken as a top 3 wide receiver this season. He is a good name to have for anybody who is drafting in those middle spots. Although his ADP is at six, both Ja’Marr Chase and Justin Jefferson are being picked early this year. So, for players who want to anchor their team with a top receiver, they may need to take Lamb at the fifth or even fourth pick.
