Milwaukuee Bucks at Philadelphia 76ers DFS, Start’Em Sit’Em: April 3rd, 2025

Any matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and the Philadelphia 76ers should be a big-time battle. Unfortunately, the injury report has a lot of 76ers on there, most notably Joel Embid and Paul George. Even though Tyrese Maxey won’t be able to lace up, so the 76ers will have to take the court again with a crippled lineup. This means the Bucks are going to have great matchups all night, but there is at least one 76ers player that should be targeted for DFS.

Quentin Grimes (Draft Kings Price 9.1K, FanDuel Price 8.4K)

The silver lining to this stretch of the season for the 76ers has been Quentin Grimes’ play. Despite his teammates being injured, Grimes has stepped up and taken a more active role in the offense. For example, look at his last game against New York; he earned 26 points while hitting several big 3-pointers. His field goal percentage from 3 was only 16.7%, so look for him to be more accurate in this game.

Taurean Prince (Draft Kings Price 3.8K, FanDuel Price 4.1K)

Prince has found a solid role on this team; he is becoming a great kick-out option for Giannis when he drives into the paint. Against the Suns, Prince shot a blistering 80% from three-point range. Of course, Giannis is going to draw attention from the defense every time he has the ball in his hands. This will either leave Prince wide open or in a good position to get his shot off. Look for him to outscore his 16 points from the Suns game.

Brook Lopez (Draft Kings Price 6K, FanDuel Price 6.1K)

Lopez finds himself in another great matchup. The 76ers can’t play Joel Embiid or Paul George, so they are forced to use a backup frontcourt. Lopez could just take the ball in the paint and go to work, but he is also a big threat from three-point range. The big men for Philadelphia will have to chase him out to the three-point line or watch as Lopez sinks three after three.

Bucks at 76ers Sit Em’

Adem Bona (Draft Kings Price 5.2K, FanDuel Price 5.6K)

Bona is the only healthy center for the 76ers, and that’s problematic for several reasons. First of all, he gets the unenviable job of guarding Brook Lopez and Giannis Antetokounpo. Secondly, he will be forced to play a lot of minutes, and when he is off the court, Philadelphia will be forced to use a small lineup. This has the makings of a disaster, and almost none of it is Bona’s fault; he is just in a rough position.

Guerschon Yabusele (Draft Kings Price 5.6K, FanDuel Price 5.5K)

Adem Bona will be filling in for Joel Embiid and Andre Drummond, and Yabusele will fill in for Paul George. That makes him the number one defense against Giannis, which is already a rough spot to be in. Yabusele has also shown he can be locked down: he only scored one point against Miami, a game in which he played 30 minutes. It’s fair to say that the Bucks frontcourt should take care of Yabusele easily.

Justin Edwards (Draft Kings Price 6K, FanDuel Price 5.8K)

Edwards has shown flashes of being a strong scorer for Philadelphia, but he is a little streaky. He only scored six points in his last game against New York, but before then he was consistently scoring in double digits. Betting on Edwards scoring big is simply a risk, considering that the offense will be flowing through Quentin Grimes, who will be taking most of the shots. Therefore, there is a chance Edwards doesn’t get his numbers in.

Bucks at 76ers Lock

Giannis Antetokounmpo (Draft Kings Price 12.1K, FanDuel Price 12.3K)

It’s almost sad that Joel Embiid and Paul George aren’t playing because watching them go up against Giannis would be nothing if not entertaining. Since that isn’t the case, though, Giannis will have to go up against bench players again. The last time that happened, when he played against the Suns without Kevin Durant, Giannis dropped 37 on them. He will likely score that amount again, so he’s worth the investment from a DFS standpoint for those who can afford him.

Bucks at 76ers Fade

Alex Reese (Draft Kings Price 3.1K, FanDuel Price 3.9K)

Reese is yet another forward who will be getting extra minutes since the frontcourt of the 76ers is so injured. Unfortunately, his highest score in the last five games has been 11. He now has to face up against Giannis, so all things considered, there is nothing about this situation that indicates Reese is about to go off. He’s a rookie, so he might find his game later on, just not while being guarded by Giannis.
