Browns vs. Raiders DFS Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em| September 30, 2024

raiders

The 1-2 Cleveland Browns travel west to Las Vegas to take on the 1-2 Raiders in a Week 4 AFC conference battle. Last week, the Browns lost to the New York Giants at home in another disappointing performance by their offense.

The Raiders come in off a home loss to the then-winless Carolina Panthers. In our research, we are reading about a possible quarterback change by the Raiders. Aiden O’Connell could be under center Sunday for Las Vegas Sunday afternoon. This is somewhat of a pivotal game for both teams as the winner gets back to the .500 mark.

Browns vs. Raiders DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

Jerome Ford ($57k DraftKings and $64k Fanduel)

Jerone Ford’s volume somewhat returned last week with 13 touches and a 79% snap share. In week 4, Ford gets a Raiders rush defense that is bottom 10 in explosive rush rate, bottom five in rush yards allowed, and yards after contact. Ford is a start in a game with minimal fantasy options.

Davante Adams ($74k DraftKings and $7k Fanduel)

We recommend Adams here because he gets the touches we crave in fantasy. Adams comes in as WR18 in fantasy PPR and tied for 10th in wide receiver targets with 27 after three games. Adams has a 23.4% target share and is a start based on volume and Brown’s defense that ranks in the bottom third against the pass. Update, Davante Adams has been declared out, substitute in Tre Tucker for upside or Jacobi Meyers for a floor play.

Browns vs. Raiders DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side, here are some players we recommend sitting in this one.

Jerry Jeudy ($52k DraftKings and $57k Fanduel)

After three weeks, Watson has shown he was able to support one wide receiver in fantasy and that was Amari Cooper. Jeudy comes in as WR43 in fantasy but his metrics are decent. However, if we are starting any Browns wideout, it has to be Amari Cooper based on the possible trend set in Week 3.

Zamir White ($53k DraftKings and $55k Fanduel)

Zamir White was touted as a zero running back draft target all preseason but after three weeks, he has not popped. White had a plus matchup last week against the Giants and produced 10 carries for 34 yards, and a 22% snap count.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Brock Bowers ($56k DraftKings and $65k Fanduel)

Brock Bowers is TE3 early on and starting using him in DFS can give a big advantage. In any game, he has a chance to be the Raiders top passing option. Bowers is tied for second in tight end targets, first in receptions, and second in receiving yards.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Deshaun Watson ($54k DraftKings and $69k Fanduel)

Will Deshaun Watson ever be a QB1 again? We just do not know anymore, Watson is QB17 after three weeks. His completion rate is 57.3, yards per attempt is 4.8 and his QB rating is 71.4. In Week 4, he gets another plus matchup against a Raiders defense that is bottom 12 in yards per attempt, passer rating allowed, and fantasy passing points. You are not using him outside deeper season-long leagues or you are punting at the position in DFS and spending up at the skill positions.

Conclusion

The Raiders versus Browns has a slate-low implied game total of 37, so tread lightly if using any of these players in DFS. However, we are here at Total Apex Sports to find you DFS options to cash in the single-game or the main DFS slate. You can find a player in this game that can easily pay 2x or 2.5x their DFS salary and will no doubt be low-owned.
