The Bucs are coming off an impressive victory against the 1-1 Detroit Lions, while the Broncos lost a low-scoring game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. In Week 1, Denver also was a touchdown short against the 2-0 Seattle Seahawks, while Tampa had no issues in Week 1 against the 1-1 Washington Commanders.

Broncos vs. Buccaneers DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

Rachaad White, Running Back, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (DraftKings: $6.1K, Fanduel: $7K)

Although rookie Bucky Irving has had some nice runs, Rachaad White is off the injury report and ready to go. The Broncos are a run-funnel defense, as they are easier to run on than pass. He should be able to get goal-line work and his pass-catching usage raises his floor for PPR.

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.

Mike Evans, Wide Receiver, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (DraftKings: $7.2K, Fanduel: $8.3K)

Mike Evans will likely get shadowed by Patrick Surtain II on the outside, as his price point is more than his more consistent teammate, Chris Godwin out of the slot. He is a sit-in comparison, as Baker Mayfield and the offense may resort to the run game against a weaker Broncos run defense.

Javonte Williams, Running Back, Denver Broncos (DraftKings: $5.4K, Fanduel: $5.9K)

Denver rotates backs, and Javonte Williams has not stood out so far in the first two weeks. Payton likes Jaleel McLaughlin on passing downs, making Williams more of a part-time rusher in a split workload on a below-average offense. Unless he gets more usage, even against a run defense without Vita Vea in Tampa, this is not a favorable matchup.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Chris Godwin, Wide Receiver, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (DraftKings: $6.5K, Fanduel: $6.6K)

Chris Godwin has been the best wide receiver in fantasy with his usage and consistency out of the slot. For the Bucs, he has been their stable weapon, and with another year removed from his past injuries, he is a go-to target for Mayfield who is a starter lock moving forward regardless of matchup.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Bo Nix, Quarterback, Denver Broncos (DraftKings: $5.1K, Fanduel: $6.5K)

Even with a price difference, Mayfield in DFS and Redraft is the clear favorable quarterback to own compared to the rookie Bo Nix in Denver. Against an injured defense, Todd Bowles will still be aggressive, making it tough for the young signal caller most likely. For the Broncos, the fantasy production is minimal due to their low-scoring affairs.
