Breece Hall 2025 NFL Redraft Outlook

New York Jets RB Breece Hall

What a crazy two years it’s been for Breece Hall. Two years ago, he was one of the best new running backs in the league. Last year, most Breece Hall owners cut him by Week 8.

For whatever reason, Hall wasn’t breaking away with the big runs that he used to when he was at Iowa State.

Now in year three, he has one of the biggest question marks around him because fantasy players don’t know if Breece Hall will bounce back.

Given the way the off-season went for New York, though, it may not be smart to count out Breece Hall just yet.

Breece Hall 2024 Stats and Fantasy Production

Hall just had an overall lack of yardage in 2024. There was only one game last season where Hall rushed over 100 yards, and that game was Week 2. For the rest of the season, Hall was turning in underwhelming performances, which led him to finish with just over 800 yards on the season and an average of 4.2 yards per rush.

Surprisingly, though, Hall seemed more effective as a pass catcher. He had two big fantasy games, Week 7 and Week 11. He scored over 25 fantasy points in both of those games. In Week 7 he had over 100 yards in the air, and in Week 11 he caught a touchdown pass. Perhaps that’s more indicative of how often the Jets through with Aaron Rodgers behind center, but it’s still impressive nevertheless.

Fortunately, Breece Hall should have a bounce-back season, and there are a couple of reasons why. First of all, he has a different quarterback; with Justin Fields, the Jets might be running the ball more often than they did with Aaron Rodgers. Secondly, the Jets were able to take offensive lineman Armand Membou with their first-round draft pick. That should help the offensive line out a lot. All things considered, Hall should get more carries behind a better offensive line.

In terms of how he will finish fantasy-wise, that’s still difficult to say considering the running backs that are slated to be drafted above him. According to Fantasy Pros, Breece Hall is ranked as the 17th running back available.

That usually means he will get drafted around the 4th round in an average draft. It wouldn’t be surprising if Hall fell, because some fantasy players might rather take some lower-ranked players like Alvin Kamara or James Conner.

Once the fourth round is over, most players likely have their RB1 and RB2 drafted, though. If Hall is still on the board from the fifth onward, that’s a great value pick.

Hall is a great plug in for any team with their starting rushers on bye’s, and if he does have a bounce-back year, you’re going to want him rostered instead of on waivers.
