While there are bigger names at the tight end position among the rookies, one that could become a sleeper eventually in 2024 is New York Giants fourth-rounder Theo Johnson from Penn State. The opportunity the rookie has to become the starter could be something to watch even with Daniel Bellinger. Veteran tight end Darren Waller retired last week, so this opens the door for a player to emerge. The Giants should have plenty of targets to go around, as the main pass catcher should be their top five first-round rookie Malik Nabers but after that, the target competition is not…

Normally, players coming off a torn ACL need time to regain strength, but Breece Hall was a top fantasy asset right out of the gate and was a value in fantasy football drafts, especially in PPR. The New York Jets running back suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 7 of 2022 and returned from a rehab-filled offseason in 2023 as a dynamic weapon in the offense. Even with no Aaron Rodgers and an injury-filled offensive line, the third-year superstar thrived off of usage alone in a bad offense last season. With a presumed healthy Rodgers and an upgraded offensive…

Entering his third NFL season, Pittsburgh Steelers receiver George Pickens is projected to take a massive step forward as their top target for their new offense. Pittsburgh should have more stable quarterback play with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields compared to the assortment of signal-callers they have had to start over the past two seasons. The Steelers also traded away Diontae Johnson, leaving more targets for Pickens to earn. However, he must do it in an Arthur Smith offense, as they brought him in as their new offensive coordinator. Other than tight end Pat Friermuth, there is no one else…

The Seahawks wide receiver DK Metcalf seems to have always been just on the cusp of a truly breakout year among the elite wide receivers. The closest he got was 2020 in his second year, as the 26-year-old was a top-ten wide receiver in fantasy football with 1,303 receiving yards on 83 catches and 10 touchdowns. In 2021, Metcalf had a career-high 12 touchdowns and has been a consistent 900-plus-yard receiver for Seattle in five consecutive seasons. However, 2024 could be a way different for the offense, including the All-Pro, Pro Bowl pass catcher in Seattle. Metcalf could surpass his…

One thing is for sure, Cleveland Browns running back Nick Chubb has the chips stacked against him for 2024, coming off his second serious career knee injury from football. There is optimism that he can fully recover and make an impact this coming season, but when is the big question. A fully healthy Chubb is an offensive machine for fantasy, despite not catching many passes as a big power back with speed and splitting work with other backs. Still, in 2022, he was a top-five to six running back in the NFL for fantasy, so it is a big question…

With Ja’Marr Chase, there is still some injury risk mostly from 2022, but the big factor is with his quarterback Joe Burrow and his health for the Cincinnati Bengals. If Jake Browning has to start again for whatever reason in 2024, the star receiver is downgraded based on what we saw in 2023 as a top-five projected receiver. Some of this does hinge on when Chase gets a new contract, as he is absent from OTAs, along with Tee Higgins. But will the potential target volume and touchdown equity be enough for Ja’Marr Chase to be worthy of a top-five…

Chris Olave was a second-round pick in most PPR fantasy drafts last season as the New Orleans Saints starting wide receiver. The 23-year-old pass catcher repeated his rookie success, with back-to-back consecutive 1,000-yard seasons as a pro. However, his ceiling has been limited due to his quarterback situation with Derek Carr in a below-average NFL offense that uses various weapons. Olave still had a commanding target share on the field and benefitted from the number of targets given as a featured weapon, at times, despite lacking touchdown equity. If that does go up in 2024, can the young star receiver…

Jordan Love had some growing pains as a young starting quarterback but he stepped up after the mid-way point of the 2023 season for the Green Bay Packers. Heading into 2023, the 25-year-old was ranked around the top 20 for quarterbacks as a late-round pick in fantasy leagues. Love finished this past year as the fifth-ranked quarterback in fantasy and had a hot streak of not throwing interceptions for multiple consecutive games to end the season. With another year of starting experience under his belt with a youthful team around him, can he crack the top 5-10 again for fantasy…

Despite ranking in the top two, only behind Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts actually took a step back in a way from his 2022 season. 2023 started decent for the 25-year-old All-Pro and Pro Bowl signal caller but it tailed off in a big way the second half of last year. Hurts dealt with a dislocated finger and had multiple issues that affected his on-field play, including disputes with star wide receiver A.J. Brown and play-calling problems with his former offensive coordinator Brian Johnson, who is now with the rival Washington Commanders. With offensive coordinator…

For the past three seasons, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been either the top-ranked or second-ranked at his position for fantasy football. However, that was with wide receiver Stefon Diggs, as the Minnesota Vikings traded him to Buffalo in 2020. In 2019, Allen without Diggs was the 6th ranked quarterback and during his rookie season in 2018, he was the 21st ranked as their starter from day one as a former eighth overall pick. After a four-year run with the dynamic duo, the Bills this offseason traded the veteran Pro Bowl pass catcher to the Houston Texans, which leaves…
