Top 3 Teams for Ashton Jeanty’s Fantasy Football Outlook

Boise State RB Ashton Jeanty

Ashton Jeanty is one of the biggest names on the board for the 2025 NFL draft. While he may not be in the top three picks, he is by far the best running back on the board as of the writing of this article. There is no doubt Jeanty will provide great value to whichever team drafts him. More importantly, though, is which team will provide the best fantasy value for this elite running back? Now we are asking the real questions. Let’s dive into the three best teams for fantasy value for Jeanty.

Dallas Cowboys

Ashton Jeanty would make a great fit for this fantasy running back gold mine of a team. With historically great fantasy results at running back with Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott. Jeanty would feast with a great offensive line and put up insane rushing numbers week in and week out. There are two problems with the Dallas Cowboys drafting the Boise State Running back.

The first is their draft placement. A lot would need to go right in order to get the RB1 of the 2025 draft class. That is putting it mildly. There are a good number of teams that would benefit from Jeanty for NFL purposes, but would not be great fantasy-wise, like the Chicago Bears.

While PPR leagues won’t be the best fit for the Dallas Cowboys selecting the Boise State back, total rushing yards and touchdowns will bring in a ton of points for fantasy managers to be eager to go for Jeanty if Dallas gets him. The other drawback is that the Cowboys made a move to acquire a running back like Javonte Williams, so a big move to trade up for the Heisman runner-up may not be in the cards this year for them.

Cincinnati Bengals

Before you all go rushing to point out Chase Brown is the lead back here, let’s not forget there are some Fantasy leagues that are Dynasty format. As such, Jeanty would be an amazing 1-2 punch combo for an often injured Brown, as well as a soon-to-be lead back come 2026 after learning the offense and getting comfortable with Joe Burrow. With tried and true fantasy production at the running back position under the helm of Joe Burrow, Jeanty should have no problem being a fantasy asset in most league formats. The drawback here comes with time.

If Brown doesn’t get moved, then there will be a discounted price tag to draft him at if the Bengals snag Jeanty. But patience is a virtue, and it could be the difference between fantasy titles if you can get Jeanty for cheap in dynasty formats. The immediate fantasy value for Jeanty is not there if the Bengals draft him, but long-term dynasty value is still a huge upside at a massive discount.

Denver Broncos

Last year’s dark horse team, making the playoffs and falling short to an amazing Bills team, lacked one big thing. A running game. The Denver Broncos make the most sense, NFL and fantasy-wise, for Ashton Jeanty.

The Broncos are not only finally clear of all the picks they owed in the horrendous Russell Wilson deal, but they also offloaded running backs to make room for what can only be imagined, but a rookie RB. While Denver is picking 20th in the 2025 NFL draft, that doesn’t mean they aren’t going to make some magic moves to try and snag the best running back on the board.

Last year, Bo Nix played out perfectly, falling to them, but lightning won’t strike twice. With a now more mature Nix at the helm and an offense truly running smoothly under the elite Sean Payton, nothing is holding the Broncos from going all in this year and getting Jeanty.

Again, the big move going away from Williams is a notable sign of wanting to acquire a running back. The fantasy upside his huge with great room to run in a great offense, run by a great head coach. The wide receivers will draw attention away from easy check-downs, allowing the stout Jeanty to just rack up the fantasy points. If Denver can work magic and get the rookie, then all green lights to draft him early and often in all formats.

All three teams will provide great fantasy value for this elite back. We all just have to wait and see how the draft goes. Don’t forget, Total Apex said it first, Ashton Jeanty will be a key fantasy player if he gets on one of these three teams.
