Andrei Iosivas 2024 Fantasy Outlook

Andrei Iosivas

With Ja’Marr Chase holding in for a new contract, this paves the way for a wide receiver like Andrei Iosivas to make a major impact for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Of course, he will have to compete with Tee Higgins, who plans to play on the franchise tag, and third-round rookie Jermaine Burton. But the second-year receiver out of Princeton has a great shot to make a name for himself as a potential starter.

A potential star in the making, Iosivas wasn’t a fantasy contributor as a former sixth-rounder last season but that should change for 2024. At 6’3″ and 205 pounds, the 24-year-old had one start but played in 16 games last year.

In 2023, the sophomore receiver had 15 catches and 116 receiving yards but made the most of it with 4 touchdowns as a big-time playmaker in limited showing. This preseason should feature Andrei Iosivas heavy in their offensive game plan as the 142nd-ranked receiver in PPR last year, according to Fantasy Pros.

2024 Fantasy Outlook on Iosivas

Currently, the Bengals receiver is being drafted as the 97th wide receiver for PPR and isn’t a high or even middle-round draft pick for fantasy. However, Andrei Iosivas could be a valuable dart throw at the very end of drafts or a potential upside waiver wire pickup down the line even with the 31st-ranked schedule.

Cincinnati also has receivers Trenton Irwin, Charlie Jones, and XFL star Hakeem Butler on the roster behind Iosivas. Franchise quarterback Joe Burrow praised him in a recent interview after turning heads in training camp despite being drafted 264th overall in PPR leagues.

Final Thoughts on Iosivas

Andrei Iosivas has stepped up big time so far in training camp and should be their third wide receiver if the preseason momentum carries over. With Chase out and Higgins most likely not playing much of the preseason, the former Ivy League receiver should get most of the reps in the next few weeks.

Tyler Boyd leaving in free agency to sign with the Titans to play with Will Levis leaves a big window for someone to emerge in their high-octane passing offense. Offensive coordinator Dan Pitcher replaces Brian Callahan, who left for Tennessee to be the head coach.

But this is Zac Taylor’s offense, as it should bounce back after a rough 2023 due to injuries. In Redraft, unless he takes a huge leap forward, the young receiver likely won’t be a difference maker but Andrei Iosivas could make a case in other leagues like Dynasty or DFS depending on the matchup.
