AJ Brown 2024 Dynasty Outlook

AJ Brown

The Tennessee Titans drafted AJ Brown in the second round of the 2019 NFL draft, and he was solid in Tennessee for the first couple of seasons with Ryan Tannehill as his QB. However, AJ Brown’s game went to a completely different level once he got to the Philadelphia Eagles in 2022.

Brown just signed a huge extension this offseason with Philly to make him the third highest-paid receiver at $32M per year. The potential of Brown’s dynasty value goes up exponentially in this Eagles offense, especially with the use of motion. Let’s go through the career of AJ Brown.

AJ Brown’s Tennessee Titans Career

In the first two years of AJ Brown’s career, he achieved the 1,000-yard mark in both years with 8 touchdowns in 2019 and 11 touchdowns in 2020. In 2021, however, the production dropped a substantial amount in 2021 for Brown.

Brown only had 63 receptions for 869 yards and 5 touchdowns. The Titans were Derrick Henry-centric first and foremost during AJ Brown’s career in Tenessee, so a change of scenery would help Brown out a lot and he would get that change of scenery in 2022.

In April 2022 during the NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles made a huge splash of that offseason and made a trade with the Tennesee Titans for the stud wideout to pair him up with Jalen Hurts and this emerging offense. The move for Brown proved to be beneficial right away for both parties. “Swole Batman” had 88 receptions for 1,496 yards and 11 touchdowns in 2022 to help the Eagles get to the Super Bowl 57.

In 2023, The Eagles had the collapse after the 10-1 start and it felt like AJ also suffered his collapse in that same span as the Eagles did. AJ Brown did have the major high of breaking Calvin Johnson’s record of five straight games with 125 receiving yards with 6 six straight games at that mark. That stretch was amazing to see for dynasty owners everywhere that have Brown. But the Eagles couldn’t get Brown the ball enough during the collapse late in the year and he got injured in the last game of the regular season against the Giants.

AJ Brown’s Dynasty Value Going Forward

Dynasty Owners already have benefitted from having AJ Brown on their teams after the Packers game in Brazil. Brown had 5 catches for 119 yards and the long 67-yard touchdown to start the second half. The use of motion in the Kellen Moore offense has already benefited both AJ and Devonta Smith in the passing game as both players had productive games in the opener. The opener shows what the potential of AJ Brown’s dynasty stock looks like for the remainder of his tenure in Philadelphia as long he’s an Eagle, he has WR1 fantasy upside in Dynasty and redraft formats.
