Aaron Rodgers just signed with the Pittsburgh Steelers over the weekend for a 1-year deal after a lot of drama throughout the offseason over when he was going to sign with the team. Rodgers is coming off a disappointing season with the New York Jets. he had decent counting numbers, but the analytical stats weren’t on his side, however. Rodgers is looking for a bounce-back in the Steel City this season, and with the addition of DK Metcalf, there is fantasy potential for Rodgers this upcoming season. Here’s Rodgers’ Fantasy Outlook for the 2025 season.
Aaron Rodgers 2024 Production
Aaron threw for 3897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions in 2024 with the New York Jets, for a total of 256.6 fantasy points according to FantasyData. He had a slow start to the season with the Jets struggling to protect him at times, but once some changes were made to the starting offensive line, He had some highlight fantasy performances against the Dolphins and Jaguars last year. He is one of those players that is one of those guys that won’t be in the top half of the league of fantasy ever again, probably, but can he be middle of the road? Here’s a look at his 2025 projections.Â
Aaron Rodgers 2025 Projections
Fantasy Pros is projecting Rodgers to have 3413.7 yards, 19.5 touchdowns, 10 interceptions, with 111.5 rushing yards, 0.5 rushing touchdowns, with three fumbles for a total Fantasy points projection of 212.8 points. Meanwhile, ESPN has Him at QB 29 on their projections with the following statline projection: 3902 passing yards, 19 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 112 rushing yards, and a touchdown for 223.93 Fantasy Points.Â
His DraftKings prospects are probably not great, as he is a middle-of-the-road quarterback. He is also not the greatest option for a starter in the Redraft Leagues either, but he could be a serviceable backup or waiver option for the bye week merchants that need a quarterback. I think he will have an okay year in the Black and Gold of Pittsburgh, but not enough to merit a top quarterback selection in Fantasy.Â
Final Thoughts
Aaron Rodgers is officially probably at the last stage of his career, and he’s past his prime as a primary option quarterback in Fantasy. SO I WOULD AVOID HIM at all costs until he proves he can be the old Aaron, so I would wait until the middle of the season before using him in DFS, and probably not even draft him in the Redraft format AT ALL!!!!
As much as I respect Rodgers’ career, his fantasy days at the top are LONG GONE! Pittsburgh Steelers fans, I hope he is the answer for y’all to stay competitive, but you better hope in 2026 you trade up to get one of the top QBs of the NFL Draft, because Rodgers won’t be there for 2026.
