This week is now at the midway point and near the end of a long May for this season’s MLB DFS games. Today, we will have lots of fantasy action on Wednesday with a full 15-game slate of baseball games, with feature games like the Atlanta Braves facing the Chicago Cubs tonight. Another featured game will be the Seattle Mariners facing the New York Yankees at The Bronx today.
With May nearly over, the fantasy leagues will get wild in these games today, especially with the contenders. Some players could help you win some DraftKings fantasy pools today. The MLB season is getting hotter and on this hump day, your MLB DFS league could get a great win this week.
With May ending, fantasy owners will need a lot for MLB DFS to get a win on this midweek day before Memorial Day.
May 22th MLB DFS Starts
SP John Means, Baltimore Orioles at St. Louis Cardinals ($8,200 – DraftKings)
John Means this season is having a good one with the Orioles after last year’s injury. In his previous start, Means pitched 6.0 innings striking out four but gave up two runs.
Baltimore’s lefty has been a great asset for the O’s and should be on your roster for today. Even with the team being average, Means could do well for your MLB DFS team.
C Cal Raleigh, Seattle Mariners at. New York Yankees ($3,500 – DraftKings)
I have praised Cal Raleigh for his power, and clutch hitting and this author will do it again. In his last game, Raleigh went 0-3 in the win against the Yankees. Raleigh right now is Seattle’s best slugger and could break out tonight.
Even with a cold streak in this series, Raleigh can have a good game in The Bronx. Seattle slugger tonight could win big for your MLB DFS pool and more on this hump day.
SS Gunnar Henderson, Baltimore Orioles at St. Louis Cardinals ($5,900 – DraftKings)
Gunnar Henderson in this series has been a hot hitter for the Orioles against the Cardinals. In the suspended game, Henderson was 0-3 but will improve today. This game will continue and could start a strong run for the shortstop.
In the next two games, Henderson could have a strong day against the Cardinals. This season has been a breakout year for the sophomore star and could do more in the Summer.
May 22th MLB DFS Sits
C Ryan Jeffers, Minnesota Twins at. Washington Nationals ($5,000 – DraftKings)
In the early parts of the season, Ryan Jeffers was one of the better hitters in the league but is now cold. Jeffers in his last game, went 0-4 in the loss, against the Nationals.
Jeffers only has one hit in his previous 20 at-bats. This cold streak by Ryan Jeffers is dooming the Twins and MLB DFS players right now. Jeffers should be on the bench until further notice this season.
2B Brendon Donovan, Baltimore Orioles at St. Louis Cardinals ($3,800 – DraftKings)
The St. Louis Cardinals are troubling right now with Brendon Donovan being cold. Donovan on Tuesday went 1-5 with a strikeout. Donovan is in a hot and cold streak and right now he’s below freezing.
The at-bats Donovan is putting out are sad for MLB DFS players and should be on the bench. St. Louis as a whole should be on the bench this season.
1B Ryan Mountcastle, Baltimore Orioles at St. Louis Cardinals ($4,500 – DraftKings)
While the Orioles bats are hot, Ryan Mountcastle isn’t catching up in their fantasy teams. Ryan Mountcastle in his last game went 0-2 against the Cardinals. While Mountcastle numbers are good, he has been on a cold streak lately.
For the Orioles to win, they must hope Mountcastle could get hot again. Fantasy players should avoid Mountcastle until he’s hot. St. Louis is awful this year, but struggling against their pitching is a red flag.
May 22th MLB DFS Best Stack
For this hump day’s best stack, the duel-hitting power of Jordan Westburg and Gunnar Henderson could do wonders tonight. With the power of Henderson, he could do great things against the Cardinals’ pitching staff. St. Louis has been horrendous and Gunnar Henderson could take advantage of them tonight.
Another player that could break out tonight is Jordan Westburg. Westburg has been one of the Orioles’ better hitters and is becoming a cornerstone of the team. This series has been a mixed bag for Westburg but could get out of his slump. This fup stack could help you win a key MLB DFS pool today.
