MLB DFS Best Start/Sit for 05/19/2024

MLB DFS

With the weekend almost over, there will be a lot of MLB DFS action this Sunday. In a full 15-game slate of baseball action, one of the feature games will be the San Diego Padres facing the Atlanta Braves tonight. Another featured game will be the Seattle Mariners, going to Baltimore against the Orioles.

This weekend was filled with great action and today’s afternoon games will get better. Fantasy teams were happy about the pitching and hitting yesterday and are hoping for more. Expect a lot of hitting covered today for your DFS fantasy leagues.

This weekend provided a lot of good and bad memories for fans, but today could be a great Sunday for your MLB DFS pools.

May 19th MLB DFS Starts

SP Michael Lorenzen, Los Angeles Angels at Texas Rangers ($7,600 – DraftKings)

Micheal Lorenzen is having a solid season right now, and in his last start pitched a scoreless seven innings. Lorenzen is going against an Angels team that is completely clueless and could have a great game.

The Rangers starter has a 3.75 ERA and 27 strikeouts but could improve those stats today. Lorenzen momentum is hot right now and starting him against a weak Angels team could do wonders for your MLB DFS.

C Cal Raleigh, Seattle Mariners at.Baltimore Orioles($4,300)

Seattle is getting hot at the right time in May, and it’s getting help from its slugging catcher. Cal Raleigh, while his batting average is down, has great power numbers to help. Raleigh went a strong 1-4 with an RBI driven in.

The Mariners slugger is getting a good series against the Orioles and fantasy owners. Even with the strikeouts and low average, Raleigh will have a strong game for MLB DFS players.

3B Jordan Westburg, Seattle Mariners at. Baltimore Orioles($5,000)

The young utility player Jordan Westburg for the Baltimore Orioles is becoming the hottest thing for the team. Westburg is becoming a star with the Orioles, and even with a 1-4 game yesterday, he is hitting the ball well.

This could be another great game for him, against the Mariners’ pitching. Even with a weak game last night, it might not discourage him and MLB DFS players.

SP Sean Manaea, New York Mets at. Miami Marlins ($7,700 – DraftKings)

The New York Mets this season are a complete disaster, especially with their starting pitching. Sean Manaea in his last start had pitched six innings, allowing a run, striking out six

While the start was decent, Manaea could struggle against the Marlins today. Miami has always been a pesky team against the Mets and it shows in the last two games of this series. Manaea could be sitting due to the Marlins getting hot.

C Shea Langeliers, Oakland Athletics at. Kansas City Royals ($4,800 – DraftKings)

The Oakland A’s are getting cooled off with their hitting being mediocre this weekend. One of the batters in this team, catcher Shea Langeliers, is one of them. While he did hit a home run Friday, went 1-4 in a game yesterday.

Oakland needs a hot hitter and Langeliers isn’t one of them. The A’s catcher could struggle with hitting again like yesterday so I would avoid him for today against the Royals pitching.

1B Jake Bauers Milwaukee Brewers at. Houston Astros ($4,400 – DraftKings)

The Milwaukee Brewers are one of the hotter teams this year, with great hitting from the lineup. However, one of them Jake Bauers isn’t hitting well. With a weak .231 batting average and going 0-4 yesterday, isn’t helping him or fantasy teams. In this Sunday’s MLB DFS leagues, I would give him a rest until he figures something out. While the lord would forgive sinners, your fantasy teams won’t forgive Bauers.

May 18th MLB DFS Best Stack

In this Sunday’s afternoon’s best MLB DFS stack, I would go with the pair of Gunner Henderson and Jordan Westburg. Westburg is becoming a breakout star for the Orioles and could do well against the Mariners pitching. While the Mariners have good pitching on the mound today, the O’s hitting could hit George Kirby’s pitches around at home.

Along with Jordan Westburg breaking out this season, Gunner Henderson could have a monster game too. Henderson is batting around .265, with 14 home runs, and could have another great game.  The Orioles right now have a great young core, and this duo could be the one to help you win a MLB DFS game today, to end the weekend.
