CeeDee Lamb is entering the fifth and final year of his existing rookie contract with the Dallas Cowboys. Set to make $17.991 million in 2024, Lamb is in line for a massive contract extension as rumors of a holdout circle the elite wide receiver.
Through his first four seasons in Dallas, Lamb has compiled 395 receptions, 5,145 yards, and 32 touchdowns. Last season, Lamb broke the Dallas Cowboys franchise record for receptions in a season with 135 catches and receiving yards with 1,749.
The former Oklahoma Sooner is undoubtedly one of the absolute best wide receivers in the NFL and is arguably the top fantasy wide receiver.
Is another record-breaking season in the cards for CeeDee Lamb in 2024?
CeeDee Lamb 2023 Stats and Fantasy Production
Lamb played in 17 games last year with Dallas, catching 135 passes on 181 targets for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. He turned 60 targets into 41 catches, tallied 280 receiving yards, and scored four touchdowns. He also accounted for 14 carries, 114 yards, and two touchdowns on the ground.
In 2023, CeeDee Lamb amassed 268.2 fantasy points in standard leagues, averaging 15.77 points per game. In half PPR leagues, he scored 335.7 total points for a 19.75 per week average. In full PPR leagues, Lamb led all NFL wide receivers with 403.2 points and 23.72 points per game.
He was the focal point of the Cowboys’ offense and was relied heavily upon for offensive production. He has been the model of consistency and health, not missing a game since the 2021 season.
CeeDee Lamb 2024 Fantasy Outlook
Lamb will enter the season healthy and on a team with Super Bowl aspirations. Over the last couple of seasons, he has been the feature of the Dallas Cowboys’ offense. This year, he could see his volume and usage could potentially increase…if that’s even possible. Dallas did not sign a running back after Tony Pollard left for Tennessee this offseason and released Michael Gallup after failing to find a trade partner.
According to Fantasy Pros, Lamb is projected as the 2nd overall pick in standard leagues and the 1st wide receiver off the board. In Full PPR, his ADP is 2nd overall and the 1st highest drafted wide receiver. In Half PPR, CeeDee is projected as the 2nd pick and the 1st wide receiver off the board.
Entering 2024, I project Lamb to flirt with the NFL single-season reception record (Michael Thomas – 149: 2019) and the 2,000-yard mark. He is projected as the second overall selection in season-long standard, half ppr, and full PPR leagues. With the uncertainty in Dallas of weapons to compliment Lamb, he could provide even more production in 2024.
Final Thoughts
CeeDee Lamb will be 25 entering the season and is just now entering the prime years of his career. He doesn’t have a worrisome history of injuries and has proven to be very durable and consistent. With the lack of weapons surrounding him, QB Dak Prescott will have to rely on Lamb to move the ball.
Lamb had an elite season in 2023, and that was with a decent running game to compliment him. This year, he is in a spot to produce even better numbers. Lamb should easily be a Top-5 wide receiver again in 2024.
