The Texans should again be a popular source for fantasy players for the 2024 season.
Expectations for them last year were blown out of the water, but the NFL is a year-to-year league. Houston will try to make a run at a potential Super Bowl with their quarterback on a rookie deal within the next two seasons.
With their most recent trade, winning ten games and making it to the divisional round again might be the baseline for a rising AFC contender.
Stefon Diggs Traded to the Houston Texans

The Texans make the big splash by trading for the former All-Pro and Pro Bowl receiver Stefon Diggs. Houston trades with Buffalo for the veteran pass catcher after a fan on social media commented about his impact on the Bills. Even quarterback Josh Allen knew it was possible but was not informed when the deal was made. They traded him to an AFC playoff contender and took a big cap hit this year with this move.
Diggs is coming off his worst season in Buffalo over the past four years. Despite that, the 30-year-old had over 1,000 yards, 100 catches, and eight touchdowns.
The former Bills receiver was in the top five at the position before they fired Ken Dorsey, their offensive coordinator. Once that happened, his average yards per game dropped from around 80-90 to 40-50 with Joe Brady, their current offensive coordinator.
Diggs did disappoint last year as a second or third-round pick and a top-ten receiver drafted overall. According to Fantasy Pros, he is rated behind another Texans pass catcher and is a third- or fourth-rounder in full PPR for ten or 12-man leagues. His ADP is 31st overall, and he is the 17th-ranked receiver for the 2024 season.
I think the other two receivers on the team could be slept on in fantasy drafts compared to their ADP.
ADP on Nico Collins

The former third-rounder from Michigan is coming off a breakout season heading into his fourth season. Nico Collins had a few setbacks with injuries and quarterback play the last two years but blew up in year three.
The 25-year-old was drafted in most fantasy leagues’ 14th or 15th round last summer as the 50th-60th receiver taken overall. What a rise to ascension with Collins, as his ADP currently is in the 3rd round as the 14th receiver overall, according to Fantasy Pros.
No one expected this breakout with a rookie quarterback and offensive coordinator, Bobby Slowik. Even with a proven receiver like Diggs, I don’t see Collins taking that big of a hit.
He was consistent and unstoppable in certain games, coming off a 1,297-yard and 80-catch season with eight touchdowns. Collins was one of, if not the biggest, steal in fantasy drafts last year, but that won’t be the case this year.
ADP on Tank Dell

Tank Dell‘s ADP was around receiver 80-90 last summer before a standout rookie season was cut short due to injury.
What a year it was for a former third-rounder out of Houston. For the Texans, he emerged from the projected receiver three or four to the bonafide starter, sometimes outproducing his teammate Collins.
Dell is coming off a season-ending fractured fibula in Week 13. However, it is excellent news that he is recovering fully and hasn’t experienced any setbacks. This was just last month.

According to Fantasy Pros, Dell’s ADP is WR27 as the 48th overall player in full PPR. He is going in the 4th or 5th round in a ten or 12-man league. I expect the 24-year-old to surpass his yardage, with 709 on 47 catches and seven touchdowns in 2023.
With Joe Mixon and Dalton Schultz, the revamped Texans offense with C.J. Stroud will look to build off last year.
