Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans Obvious Starts

Brandon Ingram– SG/SF ($7,700 DK/$8,100 FD)

The Duke product is going to get his. On this squad, he just has a knack for scoring from multiple positions and making plays for his team. He’s averaging 38.9 FPPG and is coming off of a poor shooting night. Additionally, he’s playing a Lakers roster that just played in an emotionally charged game. He’s going to have steady numbers all around.

CJ McCollum– PG ($6,700 DK/ $7,800 FD)

In a similar vein, he can score by being a slasher, but he’s a better shooter than Ingram. He’s always good for at least 20 points. He is also an underrated rebounder. Against the Lakers, their best defenders are in the frontcourt. But even then, they give up a lot of cheap points, especially in transition. However you slice it, at 36.6 FPPG he’s someone you need on your team!

Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans Start ‘Em

Austin Reaves– SF/SG($6,900 DK/ $7,700 FD)

Once Anthony Davis and LeBron James go out, he becomes the offense. Especially with the King listed as questionable, the green light becomes greener for him. He is reeling off a great 10-day stretch of averaging 39.9 FPPG. Youth is wasted on the young, and he is one of the best pure-scoring options left when the two older stars aren’t on the court.

Taurean Prince– SF/PF ($4,400 DK/ $5,500 FD)

The role player out of Baylor is coming off of a huge night! He provides a spark that is often missing from this team. Considering the uncertainty of certain players tonight, he’s likely to see just as many minutes as he did last night. He played 34 minutes and only put up six shots. However, he still managed to get 26.3 fantasy points. With that amount of time on the floor again, it’s safe to say, that mid-twenties is his floor for this game.

Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans Sit ‘Em

LeBron James– PG/SF ($9,800 DK/$10,100 FD)

He’s simply unable to be counted on for a back-to-back game. He’s officially listed as questionable with an ankle injury. But after 35 minutes, even if he does play he’ll likely be limited. Particularly if the game gets out of hand for either side, he’ll likely exit the game for good early. It’s just too risky to play him in your lineup tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers vs New Orleans Pelicans Lock of the Game

Jaxson Hayes– C ($4,200 DK/ $4,800 FD)

With Davis and James at least limited, Hayes is going to be primed to have a good game. Before going back to the bench for some returning players, he last started against the Boston Celtics. Additionally, in that game, he scored 39 fantasy points. Too many bigs are either hobbling through the game or won’t even play. He’s going to have a large impact and make big contributions to the Los Angeles Lakers tonight!
