Are you Ready? I said are you ready for this Thursday Night on Amazon? As the 7-2 Philadelphia Eagles will host the 7-3 Washington Commanders at the Linc in a huge NFC East matchup for the Divison Title Race. Jalen Hurts and Jayden Daniels have been on fire so far this season, but Daniels is coming off the worst game of his early NFL career heading into this one a few days later. This game will be one of the highlights of Thursday Night Football for sure I believe.
Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles DFS Start ‘Ems
Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.
Saquon Barkley ($8,200 Draft Kings, $9,500 FanDuel)
Saquon Barkley is on fire this season as he is close to 1,000 yards rushing already this season. The Eagles have used Barkley efficiently this season as he has been one of the best candidates for the Offensive Player of the Year award with Derrick Henry. Barkley just jumped over a man backward a couple of weeks ago and you would be a dummy not to have him in your lineups, especially against a Commanders run defense that has been middle of the road.
Dallas Goedert ($4,400 Draft Kings, $6,200 FanDuel)
Dallas Goedert scored a touchdown in Dallas last week and Eagles fans including myself LOVED IT because it was his first touchdown of the season. Goedert will have a favorable matchup against the 18th-ranked Washington defense against Tight Ends, as the offense will figure out how to use Goedert over the middle a little bit more against Dan Quinn’s defense tomorrow night.
Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.
Jayden Daniels ($7,500 Draft Kings, $8,600 FanDuel)
Daniels is coming off his worst fantasy performance of the season in a game where he was in there from start to finish against the Steelers. Daniels had 8.6 fantasy points last weekend, and the fact that Washington has to travel to Philly on a short week doesn’t help either. Philly currently has the fourth-best pass defense against QBs right now in fantasy football and after that game against Baker Mayfield in Week 4 is a remarkable turnaround I believe.
The Eagles will get the Philadelphia crowd to keep believing in this Defense because of another dominant performance against the Divison Rival Commanders this week, so Bench Jayden Daniels.
Terry McLaurin ($7,000 Draft Kings, $7,900 FanDuel)
“Scary Terry” will have a scary bad performance Thursday night thanks to this young secondary led by Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean. These two young rookies have been excellent, especially Mitchell. Mitchell has a PFF coverage grade that’s been excellent and his targets per game have been at 3 per game ever since the bye week. What I’m saying is don’t expect McLaurin to go off as he has in the past against the Eagles on Thursday night thanks to Mitchell Island.
Total Apex Lock of the Game
Jalen Hurts ($7,900 Draft Kings, $9,300 FanDuel)
Jalen Hurts had his first two turnovers in over a month and still blew out the Dallas Cowboys in Jerry World! The Turnovers and bad play were mostly thanks to Mother Nature aka Jerry’s desire to have sunlight for the scenery, which is dumb as all hell. Hurts accounted for 4 total touchdowns last weekend, and still had over 31 fantasy points on Draft Kings even with the dumb turnovers.
This week he faces the 21st-ranked defense to opposing quarterbacks in fantasy in the Commanders, who just gave up 28 points to the Pittsburgh Steelers. If Jalen has his full assortment of weapons this Thursday Night look for him to continue his hot play and dominate in the Linc in Week 11, and you can BOOK IT!
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Commanders Defense ($2,800 Draft Kings, $3,800 FanDuel)
If the Commanders don’t have their new acquisition, Marshon Lattimore this week against the Eagles, LOOK OUT. Jalen Hurts will expose the one-on-one matchups with Brown and Devonta Smith and use Goedert as a security blanket. Washington’s only hope is if they force turnovers and I don’t believe that Philadelphia will have another turnover-filled game on Thursday evening.
Conclusion
The Eagles and Commanders game will be a good solid game overall, but I think the Eagles will come out the other side with the win and solidify their lead in the NFC East. Jalen Hurts will continue his MVP campaign trail as of late with another dominant performance in primetime in Philly. We’re going to see an emotional and motivated Hurts and Eagles team trying to escape the narratives that the National Media have put around this team since the end of the 2023 season. Follow along with Total Apex Fantasy the rest of the week for more DFS slates for the other week 11 games.
