Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks DFS Start’Em, Sit’Em| November 3, 2024

Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III

The Los Angeles Rams vs Seattle Seahawks have an opportunity to position themselves for a huge opportunity to stay alive in the NFC West race with a win this weekend. Los Angeles is 3-4 while the Seahawks are 4-4 heading into this matchup in a messy NFC West picture. The Rams are dealing with injuries on the offensive side of the ball, while Seattle is trying to find their rhythm on the offensive side of the ball right now.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks DFS Start ‘Ems

Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp (10) celebrates a touchdown against with wide receiver Tyler Johnson (18) during the second half at Ford Field in Detroit on Sunday, September 8, 2024.

Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

Los Angeles Rams WR Cooper Kupp ($7,700 Draft Kings, $8,200 FanDuel)

Cooper Kupp has had an injury-riddled season thus far but Kupp is coming off his second-best game of the season last Thursday against the Vikings. Kupp had 5 receptions for 51 yards and a touchdown. He also had a great game against Detroit in the season opener. Kupp will continue to be involved in the Rams offense thanks to the injury to Puka Nacua.

Seattle Seahawks WR Jaxon Smith-Njiba ($6,200 Draft Kings, $6,500 FanDuel)

Smith-Njiba will be the No.1 option for Seattle again this week against Los Angeles thanks to the Metcalf injury once again. The Rams have been susceptible to the pass this season and Smith-Njiba has the 10th most receptions but hasn’t produced enough in terms of yardage and touchdowns. This is a risky start play, but the opportunity will be there.

Los Angeles Rams vs. Seattle Seahawks DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in this one.

Seattle Seahawks WR Tyler Lockett ($5,600 Draft Kings, $6,200 FanDuel)

The age and attrition is catching up with Lockett so far this season. Lockett has been disappointing this season also only having 1 touchdown on the year. The Seahawks will look to get the ball to Kenneth Walker and JSN in this one more so than Lockett, making Lockett a sit, unfortunately.

Los Angeles Rams TE Colby Parkinson ($3,700 Draft Kings, $5,000 FanDuel)

The Rams don’t use the Tight Ends enough in the passing game unless it’s Tyler Higbee. Higbee is out with an injury. Parkinson is not going to get the volume needed to be a worthy start at the tight-end position. This is one of the easy sits of the season I have displayed just as a sit, so don’t get cute and think the Sean McVay offense is all of a sudden going to use the Tight End as a number one type option this week.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III  and Los Angeles Rams RB Kyren Williams (Williams: $8,000 Draft Kings, $8,900 FanDuel; Walker III: $7,300 Draft Kings, $8,000 FanDuel)

Both running backs have averaged over 18 fantasy points per game on FanDuel and Draft Kings this season and have dominated fantasy leagues for owners this season. Both teams want to run the ball first and foremost and both running backs have proven to be great bellcow backs for each respective team. Look for both backs to have successful days in this NFC West battle in Seattle.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Los Angeles Rams WR Tutu Atwell ($4,700 Draft Kings, $4,800 FanDuel)

Tutu Atwell will be the WR2 if Nacua can’t go after suffering a knee injury at practice earlier this week. Atwell is one of the receivers with the most yards without a receiving touchdown this season. Atwell might get more opportunity but there is a chance that Nacua plays and his opportunities will be sucked right into Nacua’s hands if he does play.

Conclusion

The Rams and Seahawks will play in a close ball game that will come down to the wire thanks to the run game and the occasional big pass play here or there. I would personally stack both running backs, in Williams and Walker in your DFS lineups. I would also start Kupp if the budget is right.
