Game one of the World Series delivered in every way possible. The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers went back and forth with the lead. Playoff hero Giancarlo Stanton continued being the hottest hitter this October with a monster two run home run in the sixth inning. But after the Dodgers were down one in extra innings, injured Freddie Freeman shocked the baseball world with a walk off grand slam to give the Dodgers the all important game one victory. With game two beginning 24 hours after game on started, the Yankees look to even up the series before the series heads to the Bronx while the Dodgers look for a commanding 2-0 lead.

New York Yankees 3B Jazz Chisholm($7,200 on DraftKings)

For the second consecutive game, I am telling DFS players to start the New York Yankees third baseman. Chisholm had a solid two hit game last night with three stolen bases. He has been player that just hasn’t unlocked his best game in October but last night seemed like it could do that as he was involved in every element of the game last night.

With a matchup against Yamamoto, this should be another game to start Chisholm. His ceiling is extremely high because he has some pop in that bat. But if last night proves anything, that he doesn’t need the home run ball to have a productive night for DFS players. With a really good game one, it seems like a good idea to keep steady on the Chisholm train.

Los Angeles Dodgers CF Kike Hernández($6,000 on DraftKings)

The Dodger utility player has been a player that is made for the postseason. Once again, Hernández had another pedestrian regular season with many people forgetting that he was even on the Dodgers heading into October. But now his presence has been felt as he has hit .305 in the playoffs this year with five runs batted in.

The Yankees are starting southpaw Carlos Rodon for game two. Hernández is a reliable right handed batter on left handed pitching which means this is one of the easier starts for this game. The centerfielder has only been hitless in a mere three of the 11 playoff games for the Dodgers. With the value being at $6,000, this should be a no hesitation start for DFS players.

New York Yankees SS Anthony Volpe($5,800 on DraftKings)

The young shortstop has gone very under the radar this postseason due to him not having that big swing ability for the most part. Volpe is hitting .273 this postseason but has only two runs batted in and no home runs. With him hitting seventh in the Yankees order, he hasn’t had anyone on base for him because the fifth hitter Giancarlo Stanton has been driving everyone in.

Without many RBI opportunities, that means that he needs to produce every time at the plate and that is a lot to hope for in DFS. When you are in DFS in a series where there are so many superstars, you need one to two underrated players to come through but without a power bat, this player should be a sit until he at least gets multi-hit games on a consistent basis.

Los Angeles Dodgers IF Max Muncy($8,000 on DraftKings)

Muncy has always made an impact on the majority of the Dodgers more recent playoff runs. However, Muncy hasn’t had major moments since game three and four of the Championship Series in which he hit a home run in each of those games. Muncy might be the most home run reliable player for DFS in this stacked Dodgers lineup. There are multiple reasons to sit him.

First, Muncy has gone hitless in his previous three games with three strikeouts. Secondly, Muncy is facing a lefty which makes this a lefty- lefty matchup which doesn’t bode well for Muncy. The Dodgers infielder is hitting .172 against left handed pitching in 2024 which means that this high value price is just way too high to take the risk.
