Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks DFS Start ‘Em Sit ‘Em| Week 8

Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker III

The AFC East-leading Buffalo Bills bring their 5-2 record to the Pacific Northwest to take on the NFC West-leading Seattle Seahawks. The Bills soundly defeated the Titans last week at home 34-10 and have won two straight. Seattle sits at 4-3 and snapped their three-game losing streak, defeating Atlanta 34-14.

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance in a favorable matchup.

Dalton Kincaid ($4.9k DraftKings and $4k Fanduel)

Dalton Kincaid is quietly the overall TE12 in PPR and gets an excellent matchup this week. Seattle Seahawk’s defense against the tight end is bottom four in receiving yards and bottom fantasy points allowed. Kincaid has garnered a decent 18.8% target share and averaged 7 targets per game in his last four contests.

A blow-up week could be coming for Dalton Kincaid! Bonus nugget, we love Keon Coleman at his salary and coming off a season-high in targets and fantasy points against the Seattle Seahawks secondary that can give up big plays.

Jaxon Smith-Njigba ($6.1k DraftKings and $6.4k Fanduel)

We are using JSN here this week on the premise that Metcalf will be inactive this week for the Seattle Seahawks. Smith-Njigba is a top 16 wideout in redzone targets which means he should be much higher than his WR39 ranking. JSN lines up mostly in the slot, where the Bills allow the eighth most in receiving yards. However, if D.K. Metcalf is active you can pivot to him but beware he is used only as a decoy.

Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we recommend sitting in this one.

Tyler Lockett ($5.6k DraftKings and $6.1k Fanduel)

Tyler Lockett is another Seattle Seahawks skill position player who gets a bump if DK Metcalf sits in Week 8. But again, the Bills are very good against the perimeter wideouts, ranked third in the fewest points allowed. Lockett comes in as WR29 and has hit double-digit fantasy points on FanDuel once in his last seven games.

Noah Fant ($3.7k DraftKings and $5k Fanduel)

Noah Fant is overall TE17 in fantasy and gets a difficult matchup versus the Bills who are top 12 in points allowed to the position and ranked third in tight end yards per reception. Fant has only seen a 10% target share since week 3 and has little usage in the red zone. We are sitting Seattle Seahawks tight end Fant in Week 8.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Kenneth Walker ($7.8k DraftKings and $7.8k Fanduel)

The Buffalo Bills are 30th ranked in fantasy points allowed to the running back position and the Seattle Seahawks could lean on Walker big time if D.K. Metcalf is inactive. Walker was RB10 last week with 23.3 fantasy points and the RB8 on the season. In addition. he has 23 targets in his last four games, we love Walker in DFS Week 8 against a weaker Buffalo Bills run exploitable defense.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Khalil Shakir ($5.9k DraftKings and $5.8k Fanduel)

It is difficult making Khalil Shakir a fade, but there are only so many targets to go around. Amari Cooper’s snap rate and target share will go up as he gets more comfortable with the Buffalo playbook. Keon Coleman somewhat broke out last week with a season-high seven targets and 17.5 fantasy points. Shakir also resides in the slot where Seattle top 5 in points allowed. As we say every week in our DFS fade spot, we are tempering the expected output against the Seattle Seahawks secondary.

Conclusion

Josh Allen and Geno Smith are obvious starts currently sitting as QB4 and QB7, however, remember we try and find you value and potentially lower owned DFS option each week. Monitor your Friday practice report as to whether or not DK Metcalf logs another DNP. We would feel better if he gets in at least a limited practice. This game has plenty of DFS options, featuring two teams with implied totals north of 20 points between the Seattle Seahawks and Buffalo Bills.
