Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals Week 8 DFS Start’em/Sit’em October 27, 2024

philadelphia eagles

This week, the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup was originally supposed to be a 4:25 matchup but will now be played at 1:00 on Sunday. This is still an intriguing matchup between the (4-2) Philadelphia Eagles and (3-4) Cincinnati Bengals because these two offenses can get going, especially the Eagles’ run game and the Bengals’ passing game. Here’s a look at the DFS slate for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Bengals in Cincinnati.

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals DFS Start ‘Ems

Cincinnati Bengals WR Ja'Marr Chase DFS
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase has the ability to turn any reception into a long touchdown.

Here are a few of the players that we are leaning on heavily in the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup in Cincinnati.

Jalen Hurts ($7,500 Draft Kings, $8,600 FanDuel)

Hurts is coming off a game where he only had 104 passing yards and a touchdown against the Giants and still managed 22 fantasy points on both platforms because of the “Tush Push” aka “Brotherly Shove”. The Bengals can be exposed against the pass and mobile quarterback look at the overtime thriller with the Ravens a couple of weeks ago. Look for Hurts to have a bigger game passing this week in Cincinnati.

Joe Burrow ($7,000 Draft Kings, $7,700 FanDuel)

Burrow is rolling right now for the Bengals, He’s thrown for 1,759 yards, 14 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions on the season. After a slow start, Burrow has gotten this offense to be one of the most efficient offenses in the NFL at the moment. The Eagles defense is coming two straight games without allowing an offensive touchdown. That being said Burrow should still have a good day against Philly.

AJ Brown and Ja’Marr Chase (Brown: $8,200 Draft Kings, $9,000 FanDuel; Chase: $8,500 Draft Kings, $9,200 FanDuel)

Both AJ Brown and Ja’Marr Chase have been excellent this season when on the field with both guys averaging high fantasy outputs with Brown over 21 FPPG on both platforms and Chase averaging 17 on FanDuel and 20 on Draft Kings. Both guys are the clear go-to guys in their respective offenses. Look for both guys to explode this weekend.

Philadelphia Eagles vs Cincinnati Bengals DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side of things, here are a few of the players we are sitting in the Eagles vs. Bengals game this week.

Chase Brown ($5,800 Draft Kings, $6,600 FanDuel)

The Eagles vs. Bengals game is also the first game where Eagles safety Sydney Brown will face off against his brother Bengals running back Chase Brown in a family affair. Chase Brown has been a solid running back in fantasy this season, but the Eagles’ defense has been stingy against the run being the fifth toughest opponent for running backs so far this season, especially these last two weeks.

Chase Brown won’t have a huge day against Philadelphia’s stout defensive line especially if Jalen Carter plays like he did last week against the Giants.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Saquon Barkley ($8,300 Draft Kings, $9,100 FanDuel)

Saquon Barkley is coming off a huge day against his former team in MetLife last week. Barkley had 17 carries, 176 yards, and a touchdown last week for 28.7 fantasy points. Barkley will be used a lot the rest of the season as the run game is important for the Eagles to have success. The Eagles may use him more in the passing game as well starting this week against the Bengals.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Tee Higgins ($6,500 Draft Kings, $7,500 FanDuel)

Tee Higgins has been a solid WR2 this season for Cincinnati, but this fade is more a praise on how Philadelphia Eagles rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell has been playing this season. Mitchell has locked down his side of the field this entire season especially last week when he only allowed 2 catches for 15 yards. Mitchell has a future as a premium lockdown corner in this league. Higgins will be pedestrian at best in this game against the Eagles.

Conclusion

The Philadelphia Eagles vs. Cincinnati Bengals matchup will be a fun high-scoring matchup that should help you make money on the DFS front this weekend. This game will feature two of the higher-scoring receivers of the weekend, Brown and Chase. Hurts and Burrow should perform well enough not to make your lineups crumble. At the same time, Barkley will be the difference for the Philadelphia Eagles to give them the win, and you the most money possible.
