Titans vs. Dolphins DFS Start ‘Em, Sit ‘Em| September 30, 2024

dolphins

The opening game of the Monday Night Football doubleheader features the 0-3 Tennessee Titans traveling to South Florida to take in the 1-2 Miami Dolphins. The Titans are desperate to avoid the dreaded 0-4 start under new head coach Dave Canales. Only one team the 1992 Chargers has ever made the playoffs after an 0-4 start. Miami is looking at this game as one that can get them back to the .500 mark and buy time until Tua gets back to full health.

Dolphins vs. Titans DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have a favorable matchup.

De’Von Achane ($72k DraftKings and $77k Fanduel)

De’Von Achane is the safest bet on the Miami offense, he possesses somewhat of a floor due to his usage in the pass game. Achane comes in as RB3 in fantasy PPR and the Titan’s defense is bottom third in the league against the rush. If Miami is going to win they will need to establish the run and protect their starting quarterback.

Will Levis ($51k DraftKings and $68k Fanduel)

Will Levis possesses some upside with his rushing ability and this is a get-right spot. The Dolphins are bottom third in the league in yards per attempt allowed and passer rating allowed. Levis possesses two potent options in the passing game in the form of Calvin Ridley and DeAndre Hopkins. Will Levis is a low-cost and most likely low-owned DFS option on Monday Night if you want to pay up at the skill positions.

Dolphins vs. Titans DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side, here are a few players we recommend sitting in this one.

Skylar Thompson ($5k DraftKings and $65k Fanduel)

Thompson is questionable with a chest injury for week four but go ahead a put Huntley in here if he starts. The Titan defense is third in total passing yards allowed and third in passing yards allowed per game. Thompson averaged only 5.6 yards per attempt and had 107 passing yards last week against Seattle.

Chigoziem Okonkwo ($35k DraftKings and $5k Fanduel)

Okonkwo is in a committee at tight end and has seven targets in three games and only a 5.9% target share. You can drop him in season long and is an easy sit for us in week four DFS.

Total Apex Lock of the Game

Calvin Ridley ($58k DraftKings and $63k Fanduel)

Calvin Ridley is the top option in the Tennessee Titans’ passing game. Ridley’s issue has been the up-and-down play of his quarterback. If you need a lock in this game we are going with Ridley who has a 23.4% first read in the passing game and leads Tennessee in passing targets. What is holding him back is his low catch rate and the poor decision-making by Will Levis.

Total Apex Fade of the Game

Jaylen Waddle ($59k DraftKings and $65k Fanduel)

Three weeks ago, Waddle would never be in any dud article, but the Miami offense is a far cry from full strength. In Week 3, Waddle caught 4 passes for 26 yards and the Dolphin offense generated 3 total points. Sylar Thompson was 13-17 for 107 yards and no touchdowns. The only Dolphin reviewer we can somewhat trust is Tyreek Hill, therefore tempter expectations with Waddle in Week 4 of DFS.

Conclusion

The Titans versus Dolphins is not expected to be a fantasy points haven. The game features an implied game total of 36.5. However, we are here at Total Apex Sports to find you DFS options to help you cash in the single-game or the main Monday night slate.
