NFL Week 4 DFS Full Slate

dfs jayden daniels

NFL DFS Week 4 is upon us. Each week, we spotlight three to four core plays to help you build a winning weekly DFS lineup on Fanduel and DraftKings. In building a successful lineup, look for positional values to see where you can save money and players with projected low ownership who can pay 2x-2.5x of their listed DFS salary.

You bank on getting a minimum of 20 points from the quarterback position, you can not miss this position. Expect to pay up at the tight end, you can save at other spots. A successful strategy can be the QB-TE stack. These core plays will give you a nucleus for your DFS build.

Perhaps most importantly, you don’t need me to tell you to use Malik Nabers or Saquon Barkley in DFS Week 4. These recommendations are designed to give you players we feel will be low-owned, in smash spots, and/or give you a unique DFS build.

DFS Start ‘Ems

Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in this game. These players are in a good spot to put together a solid performance and have favorable matchups.

Jayden Daniels ($65k DraftKings and $82k Fanduel)

We debated whether or not to use Josh Allen in here but we save a little money in our DFS build without losing the upside. Daniels is QB2 through week three and top 6 in DFS quarterback pricing on FanDuel for week four. In addition, has a defense that can not stop the pass.

Daniels sets up a negative game script and in a game with a slate-high implied game total of 50. Daniels pricing is set up nicely for us the get our targeted 20 points, save salary, and should go less owned with Allen and Jackson on the slate.

Jerome Ford ($57k DraftKings and $64k Fanduel)

Jerome Ford faces the 31st-ranked rush defense in Week 4 in the Los Angeles Raiders. The Browns need to establish a run game to take some heat off Deshaun Watson. Watson has been under siege all season and was sacked eight times last week against the Giants. Ford played 79% of the snaps last week and the Raiders allow 152.7 rushing yards per game.

Khalil Shakir ($56k DraftKings and $6k Fanduel)

Khalil Shakir is right now the Buffalo Bills WR1. Last week, he drew a team-high 6 targets for 72 yards and a touchdown. The Bills are facing the bottom-ranked Ravens pass defense. The Bills will most likely be forced to throw because Baltimore is a pass-funnel defense due to their top-ranked run defense. Priced at $6100 the 2x salary is easily within reach.

DFS Sit ‘Ems

On the flip side, here are some players we recommend sitting this week.

Anthony Richardson ($63k DraftKings and $75k Fanduel)

Anthony Richardson without a doubt has a huge ceiling and that is why he is a fade for us in Week 4. Richardson comes into week 4 as QB19 and his ADP was around QB5. That says all you need to know about his fantasy output this season. This week, Richardson faces a Steelers defense that has allowed the fewest points to the quarterback position this year. Richardson has a 49.3 completion percentage and three touchdown passes to six interceptions.

Javonte Williams ($52k DraftKings and $56k Fanduel)

The Denver Broncos running game is anyone’s guess at this point. Williams profiled as the lead back but has not put up what we expected from the big back in the Sean Payton offense. Last week, Tyler Badie entered the equation to muddle it up even more. Williams is RB38 through week three and sit him unless you have no better option.

Mark Andrews ($45k DraftKings and $6k Fanduel)

You probably have no choice but to use Mark Andrews in season long but you are sitting him in DFS until you see signs of life. Andrews has 12.5 fantasy points in three games including two zero-point games. On top of that, he gets the Bills pass defense allowing only 157.7 passing yards per game.

Total Apex Stud of the Day/Week

josh allen

Josh Allen ($78k DraftKings and $92k Fanduel)

We say this every week, our lock play needs to have a safe floor, who else but Josh Allen? The Ravens are last in the NFL against the pass so pay up at quarterback in Week 4. We like Allen for more than the obvious reasons, as he was snubbed for league MVP last year and this is a statement spot for him and the Bills this week in Baltimore.

Allen is QB1 after Week 3 and comes in as the top-priced quarterback on FanDuel for Week 4. The only negative for Allen is his ownership will be through the roof so you will have to be unique elsewhere with your DFS build.

Total Apex Dud of the Week

Jaylen Waddle ($59k DraftKings and $65k Fanduel)

Three weeks ago, Waddle would never be in any dud article, but the Miami offense is a far cry from full strength. In Week 3, Waddle caught 4 passes for 26 yards and the Dolphin offense generated 3 total points. Sylar Thompson was 13-17 for 107 yards and no touchdowns. The only Dolphin reviewer we can somewhat trust is Tyreek Hill, therefore tempter expectations with Waddle in Week 4 of DFS.

Stack of the Week

Favorable stacks: Kyler Murray-Marvin Harrison Jr. and Josh Allen-Khalil Shakir

Additional recommended starts: Jordan Mason/Diontae Johnson/Xavier Worthy/George Pickens/Dalton Kincaid/Brock Bowers

Conclusion

Each week in DFS your payline for FanDuel is approximately 125 points, which is 2x per player. For example, a player with a $4500 salary needs 9 points. DraftKings pay line is approximately 134 points, which is 2.5x per player. So for a $4500 salary, that player would need 9.9 points. We also want a DFS lineup unique to the masses. You want players that are projected for low ownership.
