Tight End Week 4 Waiver Wire Pickups

One of the main talking points after three weeks of the NFL season is that many fantasy owners don’t feel the tight end position hasn’t been good to a point where people don’t want that position in fantasy anymore. While these people are for the most part overreacting, it is true that for most of fantasy owners, they haven’t seen any production from tight ends. With that being said, it makes the waiver wire on Tuesday the ever more important.

Seattle Seahawks TE Noah Fant

The Seahawks tight end finished has TE 5 this past weekend in fantasy with a 12 point fantasy day. Fant had six catches for 60 yards in the win over the Miami Dolphins. The Seahawks have been one of the more under the radar teams as they are 3-0 and but aren’t getting tons of national attention about that.

Fantasy wise, Fant is one of many really good targets for Geno Smith to throw to but the great thing about Smith is he like to spread the wealth to everyone. The Detroit Lions don’t have a defense that scares many people and that game this Monday night could end up being a shootout so having people on either teams could really benefit fantasy owners.

Green Bay Packers TE Tucker Kraft

This waiver wire pickup could be a high risk- high reward one as it seems start quarterback Jordan Love could be returning in week four when the Packers host the undefeated Minnesota Vikings. With Malik Willis at quarterback, it has been more up in the air how the Packers wide outs and tight ends would produce but this is an offense ready to take the next step and that is with Love back in. Kraft is definitely the number one tight end and in an old school divisional rival game, taking a chance on Kraft seems like an excellent choice.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers TE Cade Otton

The Bucs had a terrible week three which saw their first loss of the season in blowout style to the winless Denver Broncos. Otton caught seven passes in the loss which shows that if the Bucs are in a matchup where they could be trailing, the Bucs don’t have great running backs so the check down player for Baker Mayfield is tight end Cade Otton.

The Vikings have been dominant on offense through three weeks which means the Bucs could be in another game where they trail. So with that said, Otton could be the best value pick for fantasy owners at the waiver wire and with the production Otton showed last week, this could continue.
