The 2-0 defending champion Kansas City Chiefs travel to Atlanta to take on the Falcons in Week 3 for Sunday Night Football. Kirk Cousins will look to orchestrate his second straight primetime upset. The Falcons looked much improved on offense last week and look to carry that momentum into a big-time matchup versus Kansas City.
The Chiefs offense looked a bit sluggish at times last week and now will be down a major piece in Isiah Pacheco. Keep in mind two things, this pricing is for the main slate and will be different for single-game entries and Chiefs-Falcons players are included in the FanDuel main slate only this week.

Here are a few of the players we are heavily leaning on in this game. These players are in a good spot to have a solid performance and a favorable matchup.
Xavier Worthy ($6000 Fanduel)
With the Kansas City run game down their bell cow, the Chiefs may turn to Worthy. He may see an uptick in targets with the short passing attack, jet sweeps, or bubble screens as an extension of the run game. In PPR formats, this could be gold for us and Worthy is priced right to nail 2x his salary. Bold prediction, Xavier Worthy ends up the beneficiary in the run game!
Kyle Pitts ($6200 Fanduel)
We are using the blueprint here that the Bengals used last week. They targeted their tight ends against the Chief’s secondary to the tune of 14 catches for 154 yards. We know Kyle Pitts, to an extent, has been disappointing again this year but that may lead to lower ownership. However, Pitts is still a top-12 tight end in PPR leagues and TE8 overall.
Chiefs vs. Falcons DFS Sit ‘Ems
On the flip side, here are a few players we recommend sitting in this one.
Darnell Mooney ($5300 Fanduel)
Darnell Mooney much the same as Drake London, faces a strong Chiefs secondary. Kansas City last season was top 11 in passer rating allowed and top 7 in the deep passing metrics, which is Mooney’s forte. We can not recommend Mooney as a start this week.
Samaje Perine ($6200 Fanduel)
You can put any Chiefs running back here, you should not be starting any of them as it is a guessing game. In addition, Atlanta is sixth against the run so far in 2024. Perine profiles as the Chief’s third-down back but again you have to see how he is deployed this week. It could end up being Xavier Worthy being employed in the backfield. The safest play if any is Carson Steele as the possible goal-line option.
Total Apex Lock of the Game
Patrick Mahomes ($8700 Fanduel)
For a lock play, we want a player with a high floor and obvious upside, so we are using Patrick Mahomes. The Chiefs backfield is a mess with the Pacecho injury so we feel an uptick is coming in the passing game. This week you might see more than the 26.5 pass attempts per game through two weeks. Mahomes still has a stellar 71.7 completion percentage and is top 6 in yards per completion. In addition, he is the second highest-priced quarterback on FanDuel this week, which tells you a lot.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Drake London ($6400 Fanduel)
The Chief secondary just locked down Ja’Marr Chase last week to a 4-35 stat line. As we stated above, we feel the Falcons may look more to the tight ends this week. London comes in with only eight catches for 69 yards through week two. This is not a sit recommendation on London but more of a tempter expectation.
Conclusion
This game could be a great spot to find core players for the main slate. It should be very competitive and comes with a decent 46.5 implied total. Remember, the pricing listed is for the FanDuel main slate and will be different for single-game entries. Secondly, Chiefs-Falcons players are included in the FanDuel main slate only this week.
