The Jaguars will host the Browns in their home opener. While both teams try to avoid a 0-2 start to the season, the Week 1 loss had a very different feel for each team. Jacksonville led the Dolphins 14-0 in the second quarter before blowing the lead and losing 17-20. The Browns on the other hand struggled on offense from the start of the game against the Cowboys, with only their defense keeping the score respectable.

Travis Etienne, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars ( DraftKings $15.3K, FanDuel $16.5K)
Etienne had a rough season opener against the Miami Dolphins last Sunday. He had a fumble late in the game, leading to the Dolphins scoring a touchdown and eventually winning. After the fumble backup running back Tank Bigsby got most of the carries for Jacksonville eventually leading to an even split 12 carries for each back. Despite his crucial mistake expect Etienne to still get the majority of the carries this week against Cleveland, with Bigsby relegated to the change-of-pace role.
Trevor Lawrence, QB, Jacksonville Jaguars ( DraftKings $13.2K, FanDuel $16K)
Lawrence had trouble getting into a rhythm last week against Miami. This week doesn’t get any easier going against the pass rush of Cleveland with Myles Garrett. If Jacksonville is going to have any chance of winning this game, they will need their franchise quarterback to step his play up. They will likely rely on the run a lot to try and control the clock but look for Lawrence to be more accurate against the Browns.
Jerome Ford, RB, Cleveland Browns ( DraftKings $13.5K, FanDuel $13K)
As long as Nick Chubb is sidelined recovering from injury, Ford will be the workhorse back for Cleveland. Jacksonville is not the easiest team to run against because of their stout defensive line, with the leading rusher for Miami last week only having five carries for 26 yards. With Cleveland’s offensive struggles, look for Ford to have plenty of opportunities to rack up fantasy points this Sunday in Jacksonville.

Deshaun Watson, QB, Cleveland Browns ( DraftKings $12.9K, FanDuel $14.5K)
Watson has not looked like the same player since being traded from Houston to Cleveland a couple of seasons ago. In the loss to the Cowboys last week, Watson only threw for 137 yards averaging 3.8 yards per pass, and threw only one touchdown to two interceptions. It is becoming clear that you can not rely on Watson in your starting lineup until he proves he can consistently produce at a high level, though it appears his best days are behind him.
Tank Bigsby, RB, Jacksonville Jaguars ( DraftKings $8.4K, FanDuel $8.5K)
Bigsby got the majority of the carries last week after the Etienne fumble in the third quarter. While I would look for him to eat more into Etienne’s carries than it seemed before Week 1, Etienne is still the starting back in this offense. Bigsby might get lucky and get a goal-line carry for a touchdown but you can’t rely on him to get an even workload with Etienne like in Week 1.
Christian Kirk, WR, Jacksonville Jaguars ( DraftKings $12.6K, FanDuel $11K)
The Jaguars drafted a wide receiver in this year’s draft in the first round out of LSU. The new addition to the receiver room in Jacksonville allows Kirk to play more in the slot receiver role which is the role that suits him better as opposed to being on the outside. Unfortunately for Kirk, since last season the Browns defense has allowed the fourth fewest yards per game to the slot. Combine that with the fact that Lawrence targeted Brian Thomas Jr. and Gabe Davis more than Kirk last week, it doesn’t look to be a good matchup for Kirk.

Brian Thomas Jr., WR, Jacksonville Jaguars ( DraftKings $10.2K, FanDuel $10K)
Brian Thomas Jr appeared to be Trevor Lawrence’s favorite target in week one getting the bulk of the receptions. The passing game was a struggle as Thomas Jr. led the team with only four receptions and Gabe Davis behind him with only three. If it weren’t for a pass interference call against the Dolphins, Thomas Jr. would have had a second touchdown in week 1 which would make his day in fantasy leagues look a lot different. Look for Brian Thomas Jr. to continue his number-one receiver role in this Jags offense in Week 2.
Total Apex Fade of the Game
Jerry Jeudy, WR, Cleveland Browns ( DraftKings $10.8K, FanDuel $8.5K)
Jeudy came over to the browns this offseason from the Broncos looking for a fresh start. In Week 1, he caught three receptions out of eight targets for 25 yards and a touchdown. The touchdown bails Jeudy out of a pedestrian performance in his debut with his new team. While Jeudy was second on the team in targets to Amari Cooper, I would avoid starting him until either his volume or the offense as a whole shows improvement.
