According to Fantasy Pros, CJ Stroud threw 82 passes to Nico Collins that were deemed “catchable”. Collins caught all but 2 of them in 2023. The connection between Stroud and Collins is real and they should continue to be a top 10 tandem for years to come.
Nico Collins 2024 Fantasy Value
Nico Collins is projected to record 78 catches, 1,138 yards, and 7.4 touchdowns in 2024. Those numbers look awfully similar to what he produced in 2023.
Collins is currently being drafted as the WR17 at the 29th pick in dynasty leagues. This is where it gets crazy. Collins is being drafted as the WR15 at pick 30.7 in redraft leagues according to Fantasy Pros.
How in the world is that possible? The people fearing Nico Collins in dynasty leagues entering 2024 are the same people drafting him in redraft leagues at the same spot. Stefon Diggs will not be a Houston Texan in 2025, and Nico is being valued as if he will be? They terminated 3 years of Diggs’ deal!
Final Thoughts
Nico Collins is being extremely undervalued in dynasty leagues. There is no reason why a 25 year old, #1 receiver should be getting drafted at the same spot in redraft and dynasty. They are implying that he is just as useful in 2024 and 2025 which clearly is not true due to the Stefon Diggs scenario.
Take advantage of this mistake in all of your dynasty leagues and do not look back. Nico Collins will retain his top 20 upside in 2024, and regain his top 10 upside in 2025 when Stefon Diggs departs.
Even if Collins has a lackluster season due to Stefon Diggs, you can select guys like Cooper Kupp and Christian Kirk in later rounds. Guys like this can step in for Nico Collins in 2024 and hold their own until Nico reclaims the #1 spot in Houston the next season.
