The dog days of August are here for the MLB season and so will the hot MLB DFS action. This Thursday’s five-game slate for fantasy pools should start the month of August with a fiery beginning. With the MLB season ending in two months, fantasy pools today could start August with a bang.
One of Thursday’s feature games for today’s MLB DFS pools will be the Kansas City and the Detroit Tigers. Another game for fantasy players is the start of a series between the Miami Marlins and Atlanta Braves.
The MLB trade deadline is over, the dog days of August are here and fantasy players could still win fantasy cash prizes for this Summer’s games.
August 1st MLB DFS Best Starts
https://gty.im/2164638795
OF Jarred Kelenic, Miami Marlins at. Atlanta Braves ($4,200 – DraftKings/2,900-Fanduel)
To start the first MLB DFS game of August, Jarred Kelenic should be one of the players. Kelenic in the win against the Brewers went 1-4 with a strikeout. Facing a weak Marlins team could help Kelenic.
Jarred Kelenic has been a solid piece for the Braves and could have a great game tonight. Fantasy players could see a home run from Kelenic.
OF Colton Cowser, Baltimore Orioles at. Cleveland Guardians ($4,000 – DraftKings/3,000-Fanduel)
Another player to have in your fantasy pools today is Colton Cowser. Cowser in the win against the Blue Jays went 2-5 with a home run. The Orioles are having a strong season with the young core.
Cowser has 16 home runs this season and could have another one today. Fantasy players should also get him due to being cheap for fantasy pools.
3B Ryan McMahon, Colorado Rockies at. Los Angeles Angels ($4,100 – DraftKings/3,000-Fanduel)
The last player to get in your fantasy pools tonight is Ryan McMahon. McMahon in the win against the Angels went 1-3 at Anaheim. Ryan McMahon has been doing well for the Rockies this season.
Even with a weak team, fantasy players should pick McMahon due to his power. Fantasy players will benefit from a multi-game for the Rockies slugger.
August 1st MLB DFS Sits
C David Fry, Baltimore Orioles at. Cleveland Guardians ($4,500 – DraftKings/2,900-Fanduel)
A player to start your MLB DFS benching is David Fry of the Guardians. In the win against the Tigers on July 29th, Fry went 0-3 with two strikeouts. David Fry against the O’s strong pitching could make him have a long day.
Fry could struggle horribly against the pitching and could have a multi-strikeout game. Fantasy players should not go near David Fry tonight.
2B Nico Hoerner, St.Louis Cardinals at. Chicago Cubs ($4,000 – DraftKings/2,700-Fanduel)
The next player that should be in your fantasy benches is Nico Hoerner of the Cubs. Hoerner in the win against the Reds went 2-5 with an RBI. The Cubs have been underachieving this season along with Hoerner.
There could be a stretch of Hoerner struggling and it could start against the Cardinals today. Fantasy players should avoid, the Cubs star until further notice.
SS Zach Neto, Colorado Rockies at. Los Angeles Angels ($4,000 – DraftKings/3,000-Fanduel)
The last player to bench for tonight is Zach Neto of the Angels. In the loss against the Rockies yesterday, Neto went 1-3 in the close loss. This weak game could continue for Neto who is sluggish right now.
Fantasy players should stay away from Neto who could have a multi-strikeout game. Even against a weak Rockies team, players should not take their chances.
August 1st MLB DFS Best Stack
To start the month of August, the MLB DFS stack for the day is the trio of Gunnar Henderson, Jackson Holliday, and Anthony Santander. Baltimore is facing a weak Blue Jays team and could do well today.
Henderson is one of the better players this season and could go yard for fantasy players. Jackson Holiday is also a great player to have in your fantasy stack. Holliday had his breakout game yesterday against the Blue Jays. This could be another strong game for Holiday.
Anthony Santander has been doing well for the Orioles this season and could have another strong game.
This hitting stack today could help you win this midweek’s fantasy pool stack cash prizes to start the month of August.
